The Great Balloon Race is a small low-capacity balloon Ferris wheel at Story Land. Located towards the back of the park, is this smaller than normal Ferris wheel. Because its not too tall, this ride can be a great relaxation ride that people afraid of heights might not be too bothered by the Great Balloon Chase. Due to its rather low capacity, the Great Balloon Chase often has a 15-20 minute wait. You either ride in a sky blue or orange balloon. Once you board your balloon, you get a few rotations on this small family Ferris wheel. However, you cant see too much because of some trees, the small sizes of the balloons window, and the Ferris wheels small height. I recommend this ride as a starter Ferris wheel for kids, but there are better rides at Story Land.
