The Polar Coaster wonderful family coaster and a good first coaster for kids. Located near the center of the park over the large hill, the Polar Coasters bright blue track stands out attracting riders of all ages. The rides queue is surrounded by hills of cool, fake ice. You usually will have a 20 minute wait for the Polar Coaster. The station is in an igloo. The walrus cars look very nice and slick. There are two cars. One is named Waldo, and the other one is named Wil-burr. Once in the 12 seat train, Story Lands operators pick a seat for you. The best seat on the Polar Coaster is the front seat. The black lap bar restraints are very comfortable. The ride begins with a nice, slow lift hill up the hill. Once off the lift hill, you curve right and dip down and up a small hill. You then wind back and forth down the hill with small drops, and banked turns along the way. The entire ride is very smooth in my opinion. After a mid-course brake run comes the best part on the Polar Coaster. Next, there is a fun curved drop into a small helix. We then go over a small air-time hill, and then head up to the brakes. This is a wonderful coaster for children (a perfect first coaster), but is just as isnt as fun for adults, but still a good family coaster. I recommend this ride as a starter coaster or to anyone who enjoys roller coasters.
