Review of Scream! @ Six Flags Magic Mountain
-1 Rating Posted by: riddler89 on 7/27/2005 1:02:00 PM
I loved this ride because it had either a very short line or no line through out the entire day I was there. It is very intense and just plain fun to ride. The floorless aspect and the very short lines make it all the better. I really cant think of anything wrong with it.

Yeah, its a clone. That is what clones are. They are copies of rides, but it is not like another company build the same ride or something. B&M and Six Flags are allowed to do that kind of thing. Sure, we might not like it, but it is good business.

I still think that parking lot coasters are ghetto.

Having been on Medusa, I wouldnt begrudge west coasters the chance to ride something that cool. OK, the parking lot thing is weird - unless you could somehow work that into the theming! Like, if you started the ride unable to see where you were going cause you backing out while parked between two SUVs.... Er, maybe this concept needs work.

Personaly, the only coaster that I can think of that could incorperate prking lot theming is "The Italian Job" Stunt Track ride @ Paramounts Kings Island/Canadas Wonderland/Kings Dominion.

Thatd work! And, naturally, you could have road-rage themed bumper cars. Or maybe a dark ride, sorta ala Mr. Toads Wild Ride but dodging people in SUVs talking on their cell phones.

LOL, yeah lots of cell-talker in CA.

Its quite obvious that this is a "ride" not a "theme." But there are tons of clones. I hear that this is a great ride, and obviously the reviewer doesnt see anything wrong with the ride. Shoot, Id rather have this than no coaster at all!

In 10 years, this WIll be no coaster at all!

^Why would you say that, it gets an 8.5! Apparantly some people like it.

I say that because Six Flagss Economic distribution is in the toilet. I dont think Magic Mountain, or any six flags park for that matter, will be around for much longer. They will eather be closed or sold.

New ownership, new management, new marketing plan, highest capital intake in nearly a decade last season, and their stock is up over 250% over the last year. Perhaps they were swirling the toilet, but that toilet is getting clogged and will be overflowing soon (how disgusting of an analogy is that?). Yes, six flags has stunk in the past (even I cant stand going to their parks even as a theme park fan), but they may become the American family summer destination once again.

Even if they are sold, the rides arent going anywhere.

Youd be suprised

Yes, I would be surprised if all of Magic Mountains rides are going to be sitting in a junk yard in 10 years. Very, very surprised.

I wouldnt be so sure.
