APPEARANCE: This is a simply beautiful log flume. The ride is at ground level throughout and there are quite a bit of trees surrounding the ride, which conceals the layout. Also, the station looks great too from both the inside and outside. I also really like the water wheel attached to the station, as it really adds to the overall appearance of the ride. Finally, the logs look great too as they have a unique and sleek paint job.
WAIT TIME: 5-10 minutes- Even on buiser days, this never really seems to get a line. Usually I find the wait around 5 minutes, but at times the wait can get up to 10 minutes. This is thanks to the many logs Funtown runs, and while the logs arent continuously moving, the park dispatches the boats pretty quickly.
RIDE: Thunder Falls is a very long log flume. Traveling close to the ground, I encountered many twists and turns throughout the ride. In one section called "Rattlesnake River", theres many turns and even a few rapids which got me wet. The final drop was incredible as it was pretty steep and very tall. I got fairly wet from the splash, but the following water cannons is what really gets me wet.
FINAL VERDICT: Other than Canobies flume, this is the best flume in New England. If youre at Funtown and dont mind getting moderately wet and like flumes, ride this because its one of the best ones out there.
