Review of Grizzly @ Kings Dominion

ive always felt kinda bad for the grizz. it seemed to me that its parents, kings entertainment co., put all its love on its first born...the beast, and then three years later had a few extra bucks lying about so they birthed the statistically impaired short bus riding son, the grizz. the two siblings resemble each other in some obvious ways. they both sit in the forest and rely on hype, mystique and far off screams to draw in riders, because they are not visible from the thoroughfares of the parks. they are both rickety woodies that give a tough ride. but the beast, however, the grizz certainly is not. the beast is the humdiddelydinger of all humdiddelydangs for the modern age. the grizz is...well...a pretty cool ride with short lines and can be enjoyed on its own...but please dont hurt its feelings by bringing up mr. superstar over in cinncinati. to top that, i remember seeing pictures in the 80s or early 90s of a coaster somewhere else (cali), that had the exact same layout. so not only was the grizz an afterthought child, but they bought the sperm at a clone bank!! recently the grizz had another blow to its manhood when paramount cut down a ton of trees that border the grizzly property, so now theres a portion of the ride thats not in the woods. what a drag! but allow me to say that the grizzly can deliver a good coaster ride. it in fact gets better as it goes, climaxing in the famous tunnel. it feels more powerful and suggestive than the other woodies in the park. the grizzly also gets a plus because the big turnaround that goes over the loading station always rocks back and forth when the loud trains thump over. people seeing this from the queue may have some doubts about whether the ride is sound, but i tell you it was doing that 17 years ago when i first rode it, and its hasnt fallen over....yet.
