 Review of Festival of the Lion King @ Animal Kingdom

Nothing really special. Disney throws a lot of heart into it but not a lot of budget so there isnt any special effect to enhance experience. I felt that I have to really love those music to fully appreciate the show and I am never a fan of Lion King. Besides,a broadway-type show in a zoo-type theme park is not what I expected. How about some real lions?

How can you say there is no money for this show. THey built that theater specifically for that show. The props are larger then life, and the costuming is beautiful. This is probably the best Disney Live action show. A castmember told me that they are taking this to the new disney park. The other comment you make on here is why not real animals. If you notice Disney is not promoting the use of animals for entertainment. They dont want to be come a circus! Even their bird show centers around the natural behaviors. The broadway type show here does actually fit in because it is based upon a movie that that teaches their audience to respect the earth, the animals, and "the circle of life."

You have to be kidding for the amount of time available they do a phenomenal job of putting on a fine show. I really dislike these type of shows but this one is FANTASTIC.
