Times ridden: 2(including Steel Phantom) ~ Ride experience: 9 ~ Layout: 10 ~ Thrill factor: high ~ Nausea factor: high ~ Airtime: high ~ Landscaping/surroundings: 8 ~ Evaluation: Five years ago, when I rode Steel Phantom on its very last day of operation, I had a brutal experience that gave Steel Phantom the title of being one of the worst coasters Ive ever experienced. Five years later, I had the chance of riding the redesigned version of the Phantom. Although Phantoms Revenge didnt live up to the expectations I had for it, one thing stood out for sure...its a huge improvement over its predecessor. The ride still features its original 160 foot lift hill and drop, everything else changed, including an extended second drop, extended [new] layout, and not to mention, new trains. The trains are roomy, but not too comfortable, they feature totally unique restraints which give passengers a sense of freedom while being secure. Phantoms Revenge also features massive airtime that will have you jumping up and down in your seat, and fantastic head choppers when the train goes right through the historic Thunderbolt wooden coaster. Overall, Phantoms Revenge is very thrilling, very scary, and most of all, very fun.
