Review of Pandemonium @ Six Flags New England

First, naming this ride after Mr. Six (the wrinkly, bald-capped, oversized glasses-wearing, spastic dancing mascot of 6 Flags) may not be a great idea. Hes not exactly charismatic - more like someone you wouldnt want near your kids. Anyhow, the ride looks vaguely like a poison frog: a squat track layout in green + orange. The 4 person cars rotate as they move along the steel track, and this adds up to an excellent effect. The cars spin extremely smoothly, and frequently. You end up going down parts of it forwards, or backwards, or sideways, or all of the above. The drops arent big or steep, but there are some nice twists and sudden dips, which combine well with the spinning. It definitely can bring the discombobulation, without making you nauseous (unless youre VERY sensitive to any spinning). Bonus: it has a single rider line.

Now come on praxis, Mr. Sixs name belongs on the coaster. Afterall, he "presented" this coaster himself. (I read so in the press release.) When hes not dancin and ridin the bus, hes at the drafting board with his slide rule designing new rides for us -- his friends -- who go to Six Flags.

I would certainly not malign Mr. Sixs engineering skills. His dancing does need a little work, though.

Nope no trashcans. Ive only been sick at a park once and I was sick when I went but I wasnt going to miss Canobies 100th Birthday party. i wasnt even on the ride. The half Slice of Pizza wouldnt stay down.
