Review of Gemini @ Cedar Point

Alright, now this is a unique ride b/c of its combination of wood and steel. I cant even remember the train I rode, but we lost after having the lead the whole race. I like the height, but I find it hard to believe that it was a world record at the time. Nice hills and turns, especially the final run back into the station. Incredibly smooth. A must-ride for the family. Nice starter coaster as well.

Ha, yeah, it is pretty crazy to think that this was the worlds tallest roller coaster when it debuted in the 70s. Pretty crazy. You have to start somewhere though. It is just something for Cedar Point to say though; the fact that they have had 4 world record coasters for height. Too bad they dont have it anymore.

The record thing doesnt really bother me anymore. I think it will be much cooler if the make a 400 foot coaster with an actual layout. I believe what the did in hershey is much neater then TTD or Kingda Ka. I am very excited to finally try TTD this year but I dont know how it could top MF just like KK will be hard pressed to top Nitro.

cedarcrazy, Im not mad. I may be more of a Cedar Fair guy than anything, but who cares really. A record is just a record. I can see why you would be mad with your name, however. Just like I have been saying, coaster05, Kingda Ka will have its day in the spotlight just like Dragster did, but in the end Nitro is still going to be reigning king of Great Adventure just like Millenium Force still is. Of course, Viper was once "King" of Great Adventure one day too, but that is a whole nother story.

Im seein king for a day for your viper statement.

Viper was never the King of Great Adventure. NEVER!

LOL. Yeah I know that it really wasnt, but it was the big name ride there for a couple of years. Pretty sad really.

What?! A family coaster you say, Godsentone? Im sure back in 78, it would be considered one of the most thrilling coasters in existence. And even right now, it aint even close to being a family coaster. Though it hasnt been ridden by me, other folks say that theres lots of airtime and do a lot of family coasters have that? Probably not. But to me, all coasters, rough or not, big or small, are good. Woodstocks Express=family coaster

He didnt really say family coaster. He just said that it is a bigger ride that can be enjoyed by the whole family. And by saying a starter coaster he was saying that it is a good way to break the younger ones into bigger coasters. And yeah, Im sure that it was considered one of the most thrilling coasters in existance when it was built considering it was the tallest coaster in the world. But anyway, he didnt say family coaster. That was the original point.
