Review of Corkscrew Hill @ Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Well, after reading these reviews, I suppose you either hate it or love it. I think that giving it a 9 puts me on the "love it" team. Corkscrew Hill was done by the same people as Spiderman at IOA, which is amazing. I looked at this in two aspects: the film, and the simulator. The film was amazing, and I would rate it a step above Spiderman. Not to spoil, but it shared some similarities to Spidey also. The story was nice, and the perspective from the box was well done by the folks at Kleiser. Between the storyline and the 3D animations, Corkscrew Hill would get a 10. However, the simulator was not all that good. Perhaps the cars that Spiderman had spoiled me, but at least DarKastle will have similar vehicles. The simulator was actually intense, and very jarring. That would probably lower the score a bit, just because it seemed to be too rough at times, though it was executed very well in coordination with the film. The simulator part probably gets a 9, but overall, I didnt think that Corkscrew Hill was worth a 10. I dont see why Corkscrew Hill has a much lower average than Spiderman... I thought it would be closer, and to me, it was a close second. A fun attraction with a nice theme and queue, certainly nothing that you want to miss while at BGW.

Too rough? I thought that was one of the things us enthusiasts lived for!

It seemed jerky though. I mean, Spiderman is kinda intense and jolting too, but this one just wasnt as smooth in its movement, I suppose thats what I mean

I rode Corkscrew Hill before Spiderman, so I guess I wasnt spoiled by Spiderman. Both rule though.
