Review of Riverview Carousel @ Six Flags Over Georgia

This carousel offers a nice view of the surrounding scenery and it has some history to it, but I have two gripes about it every time I ride it. First, there is only one foot pedal, so there is no place to rest your left foot. Second, it is the first (and only) carousel with seat belts that I have ever seen. I find them to be a hassle, and the ride operators get nasty if they notice youre not using them.

Adults were required to were seatbeats on the kiddie carousel in Bugs Bunny Land at Six Flags Great Adventure!

What a travesty! I mean its cool to be safe and all, but SFI usually takes it too far

Why would you wear seatbelts on a carousel? It only goes 5mph.

A real shame. The Riverview Carousel is one of those pilgrimage machines for carousel fanatics - its practically a must-ride. And to think that the park is requiring riders to use those stupid seatbelts...

Im guessing that youve heard of this classic adriahna? Sure Ill admit it doesnt look at awe-inspiring as the one at Knoebles, but this baby has some history...

Seat belts on a carousel are stuped. if the child is to small to ride on tehi thing then an adult should be riding along. Not to mention these old machins aer being wrongfully changed from there true setup.

Its one of the greats, for sure. It came from Riverview Park in Chicago, which was legendary for its coasters (The Bobs in particular). Its one of the few fully-restored PTC models from the teens, with Leo Zoller carvings (very rare). The only other prime example is at the Palisades Mall in West Nyack, NY. No band organ, regrettably, but five full rows of horses, very rare for PTCs.

Ya it woudl be nice if it had a band organ. The organ woudl bring allot of life to that intire hillside.
