Review of Freefall @ Six Flags Magic Mountain
1 Rating Posted by: biosciking on 10/26/2004 11:11:00 PM
After all these years, Freefall is still a great ride. This is a first-generation Intamin drop tower, and really the precursor to all the huge vertical towers that exist today. It may only be about 100 feet tall, but it still delivers that same rush that the newer drop rides do, and I love the way we tip over 90 degrees onto our backs to brake. Classic, intense, great fun. I hope it is never replaced.

Im not trying to be a mean guy, but could you perhaps give more than just 8-10s. I know that there are a lot of good rides out there, but not everything deserves a high rating. I mean, its totally up to you, but my opinion is that it is best to distribute ratings.

I have realized that I am more generous than most on this site. The main reason is that I really love all coasters, rides, and theme parks in general. If I didnt, I wouldnt ride them. I know there may be some truly terrible stuff out there, but, in my opinion, I havent come across any of it. As far as I am concerned, if I come off a ride completely satisfied, it gets a 10. The other mentality that I have is that of a student. I have been a student for so long, so that to me, for example, a 5 out of 10 is a 50%, which is an F. Nothing I have ever experienced deserves an F, and, like I say, to me most things deserve an A or a B. This is the approach I am taking toward this site, and these are the reasons for all the high scores. I cant really change now without reevaluating all the reviews I have already posted.
