Review of GhostRider @ Knotts Berry Farm
1 Rating Posted by: larrygator on 10/8/2004 8:54:00 PM
This review is based on a 2004 ride: The ride does not have one defining big drop but many smaller drops and hills throughout, all providing good air. My favorite drop was the fifth drop (this is right after the train passes the lift hill in the opposite direction). On this drop you get great air followed by massive laterals tossing you right and left. Like any good twisting woodie this one can get rough if you ride with your hands up. The right side is more comfy than the left as you get tossed right more often and hitting the big padded side is better than hitting the shorter seat divider. The theming is great. As you enter the queue through a fake mine shaft with horseprint print in the walkway. The overhead lights in the station look like old gas lamps. The station is laid out very well to direct people to either the front or the back of the car with spacious lines for the front and back row to minimize confusion.

However, after reriding on October 2, 2006 I have to drop the rating to an 8. The ride has become very rough and it is an uncomfortable rough.
