Thunderhead is an awsome ride! Its fast, steep, picturesk and full of airtime! THe olny problem is that the restraint gets forced down during the posative Gs. It sorta hurts; oh well!

No, theyre out there, just not everyone lives close enough to visit frequently. Im going to start hitting Dollywood at least once or twice a year now

No, youre right, it is 160 feet tall, but the drop is only 128 feet. Its just the way that they measure things. I think that the first drop is great- the little drop, followed by the tight turn and plunge into the tunnel- thats the best element of the ride in my opinion.

To me, there has yet to be a woodie to give it a run for its money (well see as my experience grows...), and to me, it most certainly is the best in wood, but there are three steel roller coasters that are better than this masterpiece in timber: MF, X and the Hulk.

Well, the only on eof those three I have rode is the Hulk. It is close, but the Hulk doesnt have a fly-through. Wait and see if other parks dont copy the fly-through within the next couple years.
