Review of Wicked Twister @ Cedar Point

Wicked Twister is all well and good...but only from the very front. If you sit anywhere except at the point, you dont get any kind of view and it really almost sucks. Fast can only make a ride so entertaining. On top of that, why the double twists? Vertical Velocity over at Six Flags Chicago stops you on the backswing and dangles you for a second. Now thats awesome. This is too quick to be really enjoyable.

Well first its Six Flags Great America.

Plus, its not even a second...I dont know...I enjoyed the double twists more - more airtime.

Ive never been on Wicked Twister in the very front but I can tell you from experience that the very back is insane on that back spike. I think the double twists make the ride unique and Im glad CP builds rides that are differnt from all the other clones of V2 that are around and in my opinion the stall on V2 is uncomfortable whereas WT is in constant motion. I think they are both good but WT gets my pick.

No, they did change the name of the park to Six Flags Chicago, didnt you hear? No one knew where the hell Six Flags Great America was. So they figured, since its near Chicago, theyll just call it Six Flags Chicago. Now you say Six Flags Chicago, and people are all, "Oh, that park in Illinois...near Chicago!"

...and now you know the rest of the story.

I rode close to the front and it had some decent action as it picked up speed. I would say the front or back would be a better place to enjoy its full movement.

I couldnt even get close to the front if I wanted to (which I did) because of the stupid "pre-selected" seating. It sucks. Did anyone else have this problem because all 3 three times I went on the ride, which were all coincidently at night (maybe thats why?), that was the case. And were they rude and pushy about it too! BTW: mobdick, you must have not heard about the second seat from the back. It provides about the same thrill as the front because on the back spike the car in front of you moves out of the way and you get to look straight down. Trust me...Ive been on S:UE in the very front seat and its just as good a thrill so says that anywhere else you sit in the train sucks is not...totally...true.
