I knew about all the hype surrounding Cyclone and thats the only reason I didnt give it a 10--its a tad bit overrated. It didnt look very tall, Im guessing 85 feet or so, so I was shocked that it was just as intense as the Comet in Hershey Park, the Great American Scream Machine in Six Flags over Georgia (90 feet) and the Georgia Cyclone, supposedly identical to the one in Coney Island, also in Six Flags Over Georgia (95 feet). This Cyclone is very very rickety and it seems like the wood is going to chip off. The drop doesnt look impressive, but its steep and has just enough air time and weightlessness. Maybe Im just saying its overrated because my expectations were so high.

So why do you feel that it is overrated? Because of the height (which is 85)? I find it far more intense then the wimpy (though fun) HP Comet. Was it just the overall feeling of the location?

I have to disagree with you about "just as intense" as The Comet and GASM at SFoG. It is far more intense than either. Georgia Cyclone is pretty intense though. Overall its certainly a fair rating when you consider bigguy doesnt give out many 10s and he gave the Georgia Cyclone an 8

Uh, the Georgia Cyclone is only 95ft tall with an 80ft drop, and the GASM really only has a 90ft drop. Also, larry, I agree that the GA Cyclone is quite intense, which is why I want to ride the Coney original so much,
