Review of Dinosaur @ Animal Kingdom

This is the big dud of Animal Kingdom. You can barely the see the cheap looking dinosaurs, and half the ride is taken in pitch darkness. The vehicle bucks and pitches all over the place for no real reason. The finale provides a quick thrill but otherwise this ride is awful. Get somebody to shake your chair at home while in the dark and youll have ridden "Dinosaur".

Just remember there were no street lights or even streets for that matter during the Cretaceous Period. I guess Disney was trying to recreate that situation. It may not be a 10 but it certainly deserves better than a 3

My main problem was that there was just nothing to look at on this ride. I think there was two instances were the vehicle was just zig zagging in a pitch black, scenery less room. And when the scenery did arrive it wasnt anything special, especially for a new ride. And the roughness wouldnt be so bad if there was stuff to look at to distract you from it. This ride really is a waste.

the ride was never in total darkness, there was scenery the entire time

Even if it was in total darkness it is a DARK RIDE. Can you say DARK ride?

Just because its a dark ride doesnt mean it has to be pitch black at certain parts. Pirates and Haunted Mansion are dark rides but they dont have sections of complete darkness that the vehicle goes through. And you can actually see the scenery. Even the Fantasyland rides have more scenery than Dinosaur and dont resort to pitch darkness.
