OK,soo this was my first time riding a flying coaster and since great america is my home park..y not try right..soo i get in line and the dang thing broke down..but its cool..i go ride raging bull about 5 times straight in 10 minutes..all on the front row, then i rode everything else in the park..then around 7pm superman opened and it was a 5 minutes wait..i got on and to be it wasnt all that special..the beginning is amazing with the preztel roll and but after that..its a bit boring for me...dont waste over 35 minutes to get on this ride..its worth on 3 minutes of your time

While you may not love the ride, Id still say that its worth more than 3 minutes. Granted, Superman: UF doesnt go too fast and doesnt have great inversions, but the main part of the ride is the flying sensation. That alone should be enough to wait in line for it- Its not like there are too many flyers out there.

I actually agree with this review. I did not get any of the flying sensation (apparently its not just me either) so without that, there really isnt anything to the ride.

I agree that the ride is fairly weak when it comes to speed, height etc, but I still think that the only readon that the ride is cool is that you do it laying down. If it was almost any other type of coaster, it wouldnt be very good. Same thing applies to X, because without the special trains, it wouldnt be in the top 10, because all it has is decent speed and a few vertical drops. Its not like Im sayin he should raise the score, just disagreeing with his opinion on the flying aspect of the coaster.

Thats where I disagree with you though, I dont think there is much special about the laying down design of this ride. It doesnt quite give off that flying sensation and it doesnt enhance the ride that much.

So does riding an inverted coaster give you more of a thrill than a similar yet traditional sit-down coaster?

I do not like S:UF one bit no questions asked, I gave you my reason. I dont need to say it over and over again.

ok, its your opinion. thats enough i guess

the only thing that i good is the preztel..its not that good of a ride after that one inversion.....bottom line..and great america needs a ride with some lenght.

I loved how S:UF was both intense and yet it gave the sensation of flight. However I can understand how the 2nd half may bore you.

I agree that the ride is kinda short, and after the pretzle loop it is kinda weak and could be improved, but its still a unique and cool coaster.

This ride is very boring after the pretzelb loop, and after you first few times the flying sensation gets old.

Yeah, I only rode S:UF once at GAdv. I might get bored of it after riding it a couple of times.

It sounds like more and more people are starting to see it my way, the fact that the ride actually sucks.
SFGA_fan on 8/3/2003 6:26:29 PM said:
Im not going to say the ride sucks, Im just saying it becomes very mediocre after a few rides. Unlike rides like B:TR and Raging Bull which never get old.

right..but great america dids t make a coaster with some length on it..iam srry but superman was like 20 seconds long to me..it was sooo short ..they need to make a rode thats long ..and is intense throught the whole ride..unlike superman..which is only good during the preztel loop
