Welcome to the site.

Anyways...It is a short ride. But it has a great beginning and a unique layout.

Yeah. So far all thats known is that its an Intamin Rocket thats 195 feet tall, most likely in the western theme with all of the rides itll be near (Trailblazer, etc.)

Screamscape.com, which is generally a reliable source. Hershey will officially announce it on August 5th.

I wouldnt call Screamscape reliable. The only reason some of their rumors come true is because they post just about anything they hear.

I have operated Bear before. Best ride to work at in the park. The ride is too short, because it should be double the length that it is. They had to cut it in size to fit it into the park. However, at the time, they could have built it into Midway America, but Park Ops. was wanting to build Lightning Racer instead. And they did.

The info on the new roller coaster is on Hersheypark.com. It has a 185 foot drop, and is shot out of the station from 0 to 72 mph in 2 seconds. There is a 135 foot tall loop, and there are inversions. Your feet do not dangle from the seat, though.

Also, Trailblazer will be in the park next year. No rides are being pulled out of the park, EXCEPT for Giant Wheel. The ride is getting to old for the parts it needs. Baloon Flite (a kiddie) is being moved from near Sidewinder to another section of the park (likely Midway America).

So this makes about what... the 6th year in a row... that the Giant Wheel has been reported to be leaving. Not doubting that its days are numbered because of expense and hard to find parts, but I will believe its actual leaving when I see it.
