I have been on the Mantis on separate occasions, in 1998, 2002, and just last week. Each time I have noticed more and more the extreme G forces you pull, almost too much for some including myself. I felt the blood pool in my legs on some of the turns, which left them hurting into the next day. I thought I was the only one who experienced this, but am glad to learn that other riders felt it too. You almost need a G suit like fighter pilots wear. Any tips on preventing this ill effect? I heard that locking the seat in a low position to ensure a bent-leg riding position can help. Otherwise it was fun.
