Review of Rockn Roller Coaster @ Disney-MGM Studios

OK. All I can say is that this is THE best ride in Disney World. Hell, its the best roller coaster ive ever been on. Ive been on alot of roller coasters and let me tell you, when you put a roller coaster in the dark, add tons of theming, and blast awesome Aerosmith music in your ears all at one time, you have one HELL of an excellent ride. Sure, its actually a below-average roller coaster, but its THE BEST RIDE EVER!!! The Roller Coaster itself is just a standard steel looping coaster with i believe one loop and two corkscrews. But only disney can take an average roller coaster like this and make it soo much better! I myself am a pretty big Aerosmith fan and whole life pretty much revolves around rock music. I loved the rock theme of this ride. This ride has its very own Aerosmith soundtrack! Its so awesome the way they play the music on the ride. I love the beginning where u sit there for awhile and stare at that screen wondering when the hell this thing is gonna take off. Then Steven Tyler Yells into your eyes in glorious stereo and the speakers are built right into the seats right beside your ears! He counts down 3, 2, 1... while the "limo" is slowly moving backwards. Then, you take off really fast with the screeching of tires and you are shot into the darkness and straight into the first inversion. Then one of the 4 songs on the soundtrack are blasted into your ears as you fly past palm trees and go through a big hollywood sign and go through corkscrews. The songs that i remember being played are love in an elevator, sweet emotion, nine lives, and love in a roller coaster (made especially for this ride). They play love in an elevator probably because Tower of Terror is next door. You know how disney loves to put those little tidbit things to make you laugh in their parks. (take the hidden mickeys for example)I love how at the end of the ride they end the song in an excellent guitar riff and drum beats then the audience cheering. It all comes down to one exhilerating experience that could have only been done by disney. I also love the huge guitar and the neck stretching out to the entrance with the upside down limo. (The best ride facade ever) The only thing i didnt like about the outside of the ride was the fact that they play 50s rock outside the ride when the theme of the ride is 70s rock. All i can say is that this is one hell of a ride that anyone would love especially rock fans like myself. Disney really outdid themselves with this ride. And you can think what you want when you read this. Yeah, i know what your are thinking.. "Theres no way that he could think that is the best roller coaster out there, its just a steel coaster.. the hulk is better" and what not. Let me tell you if they put the hulk in a building with excellent theming and blared rockin music in your ears maybe i would agree but that would never happen because Universal just doesnt have what it takes to make a great ride like this. Only Disney can do it. So, ROCK OUT! AND MAKE YOUR NEXT VACATION ONE TO MGM STUDIOS TO EXPERIENCE ROCK N ROLLER COASTER STARRING AEROSMITH!!!!!!!

RRC better than the Hulk? Dude, r u serious? Part of what makes Hulk amazing is the location, especially the large cobra roll over the water. The queue has excellent scenery as well. Hulks launch into the zero-G roll is awesome. Plus, Hulks layout itself is better and it is a longer ride.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Besides, Id rank a lot of roller coasters higher than I would The Hulk, although the launch is pretty darned cool, Ill give you that.

I think most of the roller coasters at Busch Gardens in Tampa are better than The Hulk, especially The Montu. I prefer Boulderdash, which is a wooden coaster at my home park, to The Hulk also. Im not saying that the Hulk was bad, because it wasnt, but I didnt find it to be very remarkable either, thats all. On top of all of that, Im not really one for roller coasters above all other things, so what do I know?

Ive never been to Lake Compounce or BGT so I wouldnt know. both boulder dash and montu look good.

Yes, Hulk was a good roller coaster. But rock n roller coaster was a better experience. The theming, it being in the dark, the music just adds up to a multi-sensory experience other than The Hulks main purpose of thrilling you.

True.

Well, it wasnt completely dark...but that didnt matter to me. The ride was fun as [heck]! And I agree with Gravity. Hulk was, by far, the better ride (RnRCs is a recycled design, for those who dont know) while Rock n Roller Coaster had the better experience. Very believable indeed.

I still think Hulk is better. And am I the only one who likes Space Mountain more than RRC? I think I am LOL Both are great but on Space Mt. you really feel as though youre flying through space.

I dunno, maybe RRC is better by a little bit (in my opinion) just becuz of the launch. Both rides are excellent and have great scenery and give a great ride experience.

I like those tunnels in Space Mountain. Thats some kick @$$ ($1 to Mrc) technology for 1970!

Theres only 1. At the beginning. (2 if you count the one into the station)...but thats besides the point

I spose I was counting 2. Jeez. Way to get critical.

There are two tunnels guys. No matter how you look at it, there are two.
