This ride is really magnificent. The effects are all good and you get a free Hershey Bar at the end :thumbsup: (When I went in 96, they were twice the size they are nowLOL)

I havnt been in a while they gave us a hand full of Kisses.

And after hearing the news this morning, in the future you may not see Kit-Kats and Rollos at Chocolate World anymore. Hershey does not own these out right... they are manufactured and marketed by Hershey in the US under license from Nestle. According to a news story this morning, Nestle is interested in getting these brands back.

With Hershys Distrabusion and power in the US. Nestle will loose much money forcign this products away from Hershey. I can see why. the Kit-Kats are the hihgist sold candy in the world. I wonder if this will change that.

Did anybody see the show about Hershey Park last night?

I saw it a while ago. Was it the one with a family spending a day at the park?

Yes it was--they showed the Great Bear, Lightning Racers, Wildcat, and Roller Soaker in particular. They also showed the hotel and the zoo. It was pretty interesting.

The park looked better in the special than in real life. None the less, the park has a great coaster selection.

on TV you can make anythign look good. look at The Presidant. but the park looks interestign and its the type of park I enjoy. all kinds of rides not jsut thrill rides.

The park is pretty crammed together and its on a hill. Theres many steep paths and rides that interwine with other rides/attractions.

YA i noticed that. you figure since they own the town they woudl just make more room.

Its cornered by roads and the parking lot. The zoo should be demolished and made into a new ride or a huge coaster.

well dismantled is goign to far.withthe turist set up a biger zoo should be created in another area of the town. they expand the the park.

I think they are going to crush the sports center, not the Giant Arena, to expand the park or the parking lot. I heard this not too long ago, so its just a rumor.

well I couldnt tell you the last time I herd anothing about then doind somthign in the sports arina. the concert station dose have alot but it could easly be moved ann an incledsed one be built.

Theres already an indoor arena in the parking lot.

When did they cover it. I never payed attention to it last time I went but the time before that It was exposed. anyway they coudl move it somwhere else.

Its called Giant Center. Simmilar to Madison Square Garden, arenas like that.

Well I remember a concert hall right in front of the parking. is thisn it? but anyways move it somplace else and leave this main area for the park.

Theres the Giant Center and a Hershey sports complex.

In other words a Huge wast of space that could be reset up somewhere else and givign them much needed land for the park.

No, Giant Center is in the middle of the parking lot, and it looks brand new. The sports complex is near the enterance. They might demolish this and expand the park or the parking.

They should expand the park since everything is crammed together in it. Why did you go to the park and not go on anything except for the tour?

He would stop at night wile headign Back north. normaly woudl get there at 4:00 or so. we always hit the tour and we ait their as well. last time My brothers and I tride to get our parents to go in but they didnt want to. We figured at least we coudl just hit the coasters. But it neverworked out.

Thats too bad. Hershey is a great park.

its on my list in a couple of years after I save up allot of money and get my student loans paid off I will just take a big trip. on this trip make a big loop around the country. then hit parks on the way.

Thats going to be some adventure. You should try going to Hershey on their 100th anniversary. They might get a major coaster.

The resto fo the summer and next year are prity much out. too tied up to take a stip. so after that so Ill miss the aniversery.

Itll be interesting to see what they will add to the park for the special occasion. Im thinking a hyper or some other major steel coaster.

Im hoping for a Hyper. I feel the B&M sped caster has a more classic lok adn would fit more into the park then a Rocket coaster.

An INTAMIN hyper would be the best.

More problems related to the Intamin hypers. pluse they have a better workign relationship with B&M so Intamins out.

One coaster doesnt mean they have a good relationship with B&M. What ever they get, its bound to be good.

One coaster that has had no problems. is better then what they can say for sidwinder. also reliability is a very big lure wile desidign on a ride. B&M has that over any company.

At the present time there are not plans for the removal of the Hershepark Arena. For the forseable future it is being used as the home ice for the Lebanon Valley College hockey team (the Flying Dutchmen) and practice ice for the AHL Hershey Bears, as well as a possible secondary venue for other events.

Giant Center opened in 2002 and is home ice for the Hershey Bears as well as concerts and other events.

If anything is going to be removed I would make the guess that it is the Hersheypark Stadium. The Star Pavilion is located here, but there was some talk a while ago of a venue better suited for out door concerts somewhere on the otherside of town. However, nothing has been said about this for a while.

Another possibility... a possible expansion of the park to the north side of Hersheypark Drive. However, this is only a "guess"... nothing official has ever been said.

Do you know anything about the markings near Trailblazer and the surrounding area?

Again, all conjecture and rumor... Hersheypark Drive is the road that runs along the edge of Midway America... past Lightning Racer, Whip, Wildcat, the service entrance, the parking lot next to the Stadium, past the old entrance, and to the traffic light where Park Blvd meets Rt.39. Park Blvd runs past Coal Cracker, Great Bear, Looper, first turn of the Comet, Chocolate world, parking lots, and connects with HP drive at the light. The new entrance to the park cuts off of Park Blvd, circles around Giant Center, goes under Park Blvd, and empties into the lots around the Stadium and Chocolate World. Rt 743 runs from Park Blvd, past the Kissing Tower, under the foot bridge to Zoo America, past Side Winder, Roller Soaker and Lightning Racer and connects with HPdrive at the light by the Turkey Hill store.

The area that many look to is across HP Drive in the location of an old air port. it is a long and relatively narrow plot of land that starts on the opposite side of the road across form Lightning Racer and runs to somewhere near the old entrance to the park. On top of the ridge beyond it is the old Hershey Industrial School.

It is a narrow strip of land... however good for an out and back of some sort. However, with Hersheys track record of fitting many rides into tight places, who know what it could be used for. However this is only SPECULATION! No plans what so ever have been announced by anyone in the know... just the guess work of "local folks" who frequent the park.

hell they couel run a Hyper across the street. have the itntire coaster over and across the street on that other plot then have the statin on the park property.

If theyre looking to add any type of coaster, a kiddie one would fit parfectly on that empty plot of land next to the wild mouse.

Or get a realy interestingflat. that woudl get attentin as well.

They have the Claw. Canadas Wonderland seems to have the newest types of flat rides.

the rides at PCW have little hope of beign ridign by some one in PA. yes the claw is a great ride. but another thrill may do them good.

The frisbee concept was first introduced at Canadas Wonderland. Anything is possible. Only time will tell what their next ride will be.

I jsut think they shoudl ad a few thrill rides into the gaps in the coastes.

Every park should do that.

Wild cat is a prime example a big ride on each side and soem tres to fil in the gaps.

That would be something to see it go through trees. I like how SDL goes through trees and the ravine.

I think they need to add some trees to all their coastes. especialy the wood coasters.
