I Fire! It was more fun than Ice and the near misses were great. I think, if the line would have moved a little quicker I would give it a 10.

Wait, did you actually have to wait in line? Usually every time i go, i end up just walking right through the whole castle, and maybe have to wait in a line right before the station, but never any further back.

Same here...I rode this 12 times and had a 5 minute wait each time. P.S. you shouldnt grade down the ride just because it had a long line when you went.

Id say its a fair point to consider if a ride is particularly slow-loading. I dont think DD is all that slow, really... but while the line thru the castle is cool, its wicked dark. Am I the only one who ever bumped into a wall trying to make my way through it? Hmm, probably I am. :dork:

On my first visit to IOA, I didnt have to wait at all for both tracks of DD. On my second visit, I had to wait about 25 minutes for each one. Still not a bad wait though.

In March 2001 I waited around 15 minutes each for a front seat ride on each of these... later in the day the wait was 30 minutes for a back seat ride on Fire and around 45 minutes for a back seat ride on Ice. That day the dispatch times were very slow... with one train being loaded and sitting in the station and waiting to dispatch while its companion train was still loading.

I still think I ride should be rated on the actual ride not what goes on outside the ride. Thats standing in line for hot dogs for and hour, having the greatest hot dog on earth and then say it tasted bad because the line was too long...see where Im coming from??

I agree: a rides rating should not be affected by its line. Also, it could depend on whe you go as to what kin of line youwait in. I went in April once and on a Tuesday morning it was a walk-on, but when I went back on Saturday in the evening, it was about 45mins. Day and time can make a difference and thats in almost any park there is
