 Review of Volcano, The Blast Coaster @ Kings Dominion

This is an ok roller coaster. I was expecting it to be a lot bigger seeing as how they had to get rid of 3 rides to build it. No such luck. Its score lost a couple points because the ride breaks down a lot. I remember waiting in line a half hour to ride, and it broke down 3 times. I even saw graffiti in the queneing area stating "I hate this break down ride. However, I must say its launch is fun, and I like being up high at the top of the mountain.
I also should mention that those 3 rides they had to get rid to build this were rather good. There was a haunted water flume, a ride that spins you around really fast and then lowers the floor, and a slow train dedicated to the smurfs (good for a break, and it had good scenery)

hows the ride itself? if it breaks down i think that its prob the parks fault. i think this coaster looks really good. two launches and great themeing. im surprised you only gave it a five.

Well, it was dissapointing. That mountain has a huge interior, and I was expecting them to use all of it. And the 1.5 hour wait for that short ride is also something I dont like. Another thing I dont like is that annoying squeak the track makes. But yes, great themeing and 2 launches are great.

Uhm, probably like 1.5-2 minutes. You get launched just after the station and you then turn a corner and go up the mountain, Ive never been sure if the things on the vertical part of the mountain are brakes or launches.
And you know what, your theory on it braking down being the parks fault isnt someting I can argue with **Changes review to 7**

ive always wanted to ride volcano. i think its the only launched coaster. 2 mins isnt bad. you gotta think that somw coasters are longer but with them you have to factor in the lift hill time. 2 mins of straight coasters good. the only thing i dont like about it is that it looks cool with the mountain and stuff but it has so many supports. ive never seen so many supports on a coaster before (actually X has a lot). i think it takes away from the scenery.
