Review of Kali River Rapids @ Animal Kingdom

This ride was to short. It was well themed, but I didnt get wet. I had to get on it 4 times (it was a slow day and it was cold out). At the fourth time i was mad, so i took off my seat belt and went to the aeas were i figured i would get wet based on the previous rides. Of course i got in trouble, but it was fun. But i dont really suggest it. Popeye and Blutos bilge rat barges in Islands Of Adventures is much much much much much much much much much much better.

Maybe this person reviewed the wrong ride because there is no way you can stay dry. Even if you tried to stay dry I dont think it would happen. And it wasnt short at all, this is one of the longer water rides I have been on. Where did you get off and walk to may I ask?

I am sorry, but i just didnt ge wet! i mean, what can i do? and besides, how many times have you been on it? i have been four and on the fourth was when i got wet, and compared to popeye, it was really short. But the theming was good, lets give it that.

Im just find it hard to believe that you didnt get wet. I have been on the ride at least 10 times in the last year and everytime I got absolutely soaked. How did you not get wet by the geysers, if not the splashes?

Maybe they were turned off or something, since the weather was 65 or smething, but i just didnt get wet.

I suppose that could be true, because when I went there were huge geysers and there is no way you could have stayed dry with those things. Does anyone know if they turn those things off? Sounds like your ride was ruined because of a cold day. Ride it again if you get the chance, its better than what you experienced.

Sorry, m311, Ive ridden Kali in the summer + cordovas right on this one. Youll get a little bit wet (though maybe less than on Splash Mountain) no matter what, but only some people will get the true tsunami this kind of ride should deliver. Its whoever goes backwards down the drop after the part with the fire.

exactly, but what i did the first time was, since it was cold and the park was abopt to close, the ride was empty, so they go like 5 times "do you wan to go arond again?" so it got to the point were i got tired of not getting the wet sides, so everytime i got to a point where i knew water was coming, i took of f my seat belt and ran toward the seat. Obviously you have to be very careful when doong this, and i was surprised knowing how "strict" disney is with security that i wasnt caught, but i was happy i finaly got wet
