This ride is so much fun. My friend and I rode it about twenty times in a row. It never gets old. My favorite part is the third from last hill after the second helix. The ride gives major airtime.

Fellow, S:ROS lover and praiser, welcome to the site. I dont know how you guys are riding this 20 times in a row though. Every time I go, the lines are off the charts since its STILL the major attraction.

I think it was Labor Day. The lines were so short and the park wasnt that crowded even though they had some Florida Oranges promotion thing in the parking lot. Or it was maybe luck!

luck posibly, normally holiday weekends are the worst.

Yeah, so the third hill is BEFORE the second helix, after the first!

Just after the second Helix its one of those turning hills like hill 5 on the one at SFNE.

Oh, well thats the forth hill man!

ride: drop, turn to the left, Hill 1, left into down Helix, straight track, hill 2, up helix, straight track pulls down a bit, Hill 3 turns and pulls to the left, turns back agenst the coaster, Hill 4, trim, hill5, bracks, back to station.

No, I count the drop as a hill, because, a drop is a hill!

Then yes by your definition that is the third hill.

Im just tryign not to argue. your acually the first person Ive talk to that thinks that way. but yes if that isthe way you look at it then I understand better on why you mentiond that hill.

Yes normaly when you are counting you count the drop. but what I was looking at is hillds for air time. you dont get air of the drop unles your in the back. so I was looking at the tird air time hill. but we now know so theirs no uses talking about it anymre.

Magnum, coming out of no where and making no sense! Not suprised. And no, mrceagle hasnt rode the ride! And magnum, I dont kno what the hell you are doing.....find it out for me ok?

Where on the drop? Im looking at pictures of the drop and there isnt any visible trim on it. Also you "almost guarantee it"? So that means youre not 100% positive.

You are absoulutly right. I didnt say there was, but Im almost sure. Guess Im wrong. Where did you get your pictures from by the way? Im asking this a friendly question. And to you, Xtreme. You said to mrceagle "If you really DID ride this, you would know that!" when you havent even been to the park yourself. Even though, I guess Im wrong, YOU had nothing to back yourself up on, so dont insult him when you dont know what your talking about.

I took some personal pix and looked at brochures from the park.

Oh, ok because its hard to get pictures for SFDL over the internet. A lot of people still havent been there.

You could probably get many pictures of the ride from Darien Lake fan sites.

but that it. there arent any. the only one is under construction right now and thats SFDLCoasternet

Try looking at Coasterbuzz, Joyrides, and Coaster Gallery. I know Coaster Gallery has some pix of the ride.

Have you eve been to SFA Magnum? That should answer your troubled mind!

Yes, I have in fact. And even though they are mirror images, that has nothing to do with trim braking, especially when were talking about the original one at Darien Lake. Fine, you went to the one at SFA. Its settled

Yes, and I also "rode" the one at SFDL, because coaster_rd sent me this on ride video, and it had no trims.

They arent mirror rides. If they were they would be exactly the same.

Actually, Magnum is technically right there. They are mirror images of themselves.

How? From pictures they look totally different.

Um, maybe due to the fact that they are MIRROR IMAGES!

The track design is the exact same only mirrored. The only difference is that SFDLs is 208 ft. and SFAs is 200. Other than that there is no difference, track wise. And yes, the reason they look different is probably due to the fact that they are facing in opposite directions. How can they not look the same? Find some better pictures.

BTW:Xtreme (or coaster_rd), ask him to send me that video. Ill give you my address if its ok.

The animation fom Badnotorius has a trim that is what i was using to refer to. their is not trim.

yeah. the video shows that S:ROS has a trim like I thought. its small though, so it doesnt look like it on pictures. those videos are SO OBVIOUSLY from the Americas Greatest RCT collection! got three of em (except for "The Ultimate Scream Machines" which is only on DVD)...

So wheres the trim? The only one I know of is the one by the on ride photo. I think theres one there but I might be wrong.

What do you mean, Im wrong? I HAVE THE VIDEOS, IN MY POSSESION! I know what they looks like. Also, the video shows, clear as day, a small trim on the first drop. Watch it again...I win...GET OVER IT!

Well I watched it and I didnt see any trim prack. a magnetic trime brack like of SROS at SFNE would be double sided. you canyt slow down only one side. what you saw on the bottom of the hil was a coler flash. the head loosign the tape a little from the digital camera.

not at the bottom, right after the beginning of the drop. I swear is saw one.

All I have to say is "LOOK AT THE VIDEO AGAIN"!

Alls I have to say is YOU ARE WRONG!

Okay I know its months later but seeing as how I just joined its new to me. But I work at Darien Lake (3 years now), and I can tell you the truth. And the truth is that the only brakes are the ones at the end by the pictures and obviously on the brake station at the very end. There are no other brakes anywhere on the ride. And i can get the DL mechanics to back me up on this basically cuz I asked them about it, and checked it out for myself. So HA!!

Last Labor Day. I went on it over 20 times that day.

Go again, and this time really check out the first hill, noone will find any brakes on it.

OK, I know that there arent any trims. I thought there were but after watching videos of the ride, I see there arent. And thats good!

Who cares about Superman Ride of Steel at Darian Lake...the one at Six Flags New England is 100000 times better
