Review of Tommorow Land Speedway @ Magic Kingdom

Hate me if you wish for giving a Disney ride a 1, but this waste of space deserves it. Sure, every kid loves to get behind the wheel but this thing moves so slow even the little ones might get bored. You paid for the "Disney Magic", so dont come here because all you are going to find is an annoyance that will waste your time.

This is one were we can agree. their are many parks that have a car ride, and for that mater better car rides. they could do so much in the space this thing takes up and the left over space behind it.

I do agree this ride is a true waste of space but I rated it a "10" because it is the first ride my daughters and I rode in 1986. It was their introduction to the MAGIC. I hope they never replace it. Someday I will take my grandchildren on this one too.

Take a Flight to NH and Go to Canobie LAke park. They have the Canobie 500 which uses the exact same cars. though the track is slightly shorter. Thing is A car ride can be found at any park.

Given the opportunity to go to Orlando or NH sorry mr Orlando wins every time.

I am a little over an hour away from Hershey, Dorney and SFGA and really do not get there. My favorite park other than Disney is BGW. Been to Orlando 15 or more times since 2000 and believe it or not I have never been to UA, IOA or Sea World. We usually stay onsite and do Disney.

Its more of a point then a demand. I two have been to Disney 4 times without livign the property. Car rides are farly standard in parks and Autopia isnt anythign special outside its lenght. disney coudl do so much good with that land and offer many attraction wth a range of age levels.

Like Small World these are Disney trademark rides. Boring as they are I do not think they are rides that in our lifetime will be scrapped

How is a car ride which is found at prity much every park a Disney Trademark? This car ride is the most un disney ride int the park. every other ride is prity much packed with disney flare. this is just a car ride.

vbarbieri I totally agree with MRC on this. That car ride is the worst attraction in Orlando, and I have rode a better car ride at Lakemont park. Your obviously biased toward Disney which is fine, but please acknowledge this ride is not a Disney trademark.

It could be updated to be one... Pixars next movie is "Cars".
mrceagle on 1/21/2006 12:46:19 AM said:
True but your still going to have a car ride. It might be a little more ingulfing. But in the end its will still be a care ride. If they took this out they could add anumber of attractions to the park. and I rather have 2-5 new atractiosn thena slightly done over old one.

Again, if you read what I write you can see I too agree that it is a HORRIBLE and BORING ride but it will never be removed in our lifetimes. I did not say I like it but it is a classic and a Disney classic. This ride along with Small World were two of Walt Disneys personal favorites. 40 years from now when we are all here on this site some 15-25 yr old will be trashing this same ride because it will STILL BE THERE.

vbarbieri I got that from you however saying it is a trademark is just not accurate anymore. I never here commercials or kids say I can hardly wait for tomorrow land speedway. I personally believe it will be gone or changed within 5 years.
vbarbieri on 1/23/2006 5:50:50 PM said:
Lets make it fun coaster05. Dollar ($1.00) bet that in five years it is still there!!!

I need it to be there when my grandkids are old enough to go on it.
coaster05 on 1/23/2006 5:56:03 PM said:
It may be there but it will not be the way it is now. I am up for the bet though I have no idea how we will pay it.

Tomorrowland is in desperate need of an update; either that or simply rename it "Retroland".

There is only so much they can do for Tamarow land. technoligy adn styles change so fast its hard to keep up. It wouldnt suprise me if Disney kept the car ride in.I woudl expect that they would do somthing with it if they kep it. I think much of my complain against theym is that My home park has the exact same cars. So to me its in no way uniquie.

Coaster05 we can meet at the new attraction grand opening that takes the place of this one and I will go one step further and spring for a turkey leg or a soda or both.
