I liked this ride. The effects were good and it is different from all the other rides out there. i would like to know though why they are taking it out.

Apparently the new ride (I dont know when projected opening date is) will be an indoor coaster themed after the Mummy flicks. Thats cool n all, and Im sure the new Shrek thing will be good, too. Its just a shame they had to yank existing rides like Kong (ok if not great) + Hitchcock (as a Hitch fan, I found it excellent) instead of just adding more. Especially when theyre keeping Twister, which sucks. Is USF really pressed for space?

I know the entire area isnt pressed for space, but the Studios might be. Also, if you "do" expand and add more attractions, that means adding more employees, stores, bathrooms, etc....they did it the most economical way which was build on already occupied land...

hats alot more expansion then any parks needs for just one ride. Employees would be needed but you wouldnt need to add the rest.

THEY TOOK OUT HITCHCOCK! NO THEY DIDNT...BIG MISTAKE! Thats an exellent "attraction". BTW Seph: Actually, when I went there, it didnt seem like there was a space limitation. There was a lot of room toward the back of the park.

Ya they did. you figure they would have kept such a populare attraction. I really wanted to see the Hitchcock show. Teh shreck dosnt intreage me as much.

When you expand an area untouched ....theres a lot of work besides the actual ride that needs to be done....and Magnum...yea there "may" be room in the park for some expansion, but theres no real way to know. Theres def more space in the back of the park, then the front, but I dont know how much more theyll expand there...

What I was getign at is if a coaster is built behind one of the buildign there then your only waign 150-200 ft away from teh main path. in a case like that more bathrooms etc like you mentioned arnt needed. now if you are puling them for away from the main park they you need to add every thign you mentioned

But IE...MIB has a gitfshop, bathrooms, lockers, photobooth, among other things. Right now, Universal CUT back on their staff. Its a hurting time for theme parks and anything that involves addition staff usually isnt a priority.

true but replacign rides may only draw people for a year or so. aksi is sompody realy liked that one atracto more then anythign else. the park may become less intregign for them.

Im kinda pissed they took the one REAL movie attraction, Hitchcock, out. Not only was it educational, it offered a 3d show to "draw" more people. I love the addition of Shrek, but I wish they had found another place...I mean it is (yes its obviously official) only a 3d show.

The dumb thing is the walkway in will still use the Hitchcock decorations. they shoudl have built another building. or jsut built another building.
Sephiroth7 on 5/22/2003 3:23:31 PM said:
Yea i remember hearin that too. Well hopefully it will be something like Lucy at least. But if you "enter" Shrek where the Hitchcock stuff is, thats stupid...
