 Review of Xcel Energy Log Chute @ Nickelodeon Universe

I heard that a kid died on this one. If I hadnt ridden it before and known that it was safe and fun, I might have declined to ride when I heard about the poor guy.

Yeah, A young kid became scared, I heard his friends were trying to scare him. Just before the second drop, he attempted to climb out and fell to his death. They closed the ride the next day in respect for the family, but no defect was ever thought to be responsible for the unfourtunate event.

It seems to me that ever since that happened, theyve hardly done anything to prevent it from happening again. Although, I know that the entire ride is monitored on closed circuit TV by park employees. Which is why youll often here "SIT DOWN" from the speakers when you ride.
