Loses a point for the anti-climatic ending, but Adventure Express is by far the best mine train Ive ridden with great theming, headchoppers, and an interesting layout. The tunnels also have an odd smell that really does make you feel into the experience that youre on the expedition along with the speakers voice in the station that tells what has happened. Overall, a fast, fun ride with short lines that can be ridden over and over again. **EDIT** Ive visited a few more mine trains at a few new parks and Adventure Express is honestly the ultimate! If you know me, I vote on "levels" and since this isnt the best steel coaster at the park, but it is a darn good mine ride, it gets an easy 8!

I completely agree about the lackluster ending and PKI should have done something about that soon after they purchased the park. Still, the rest of the ride has excellent pacing, above average theming, and an atmosphere that seems to really put you into this runaway mine train experience. This is one coaster I could ride over and over again because of the fun whipping it gives riders off the lift hill and throughout the ride. Ive been on a lot of mine trains and this is truly the best so far... I cant wait to try out Roadrunner Express at SFFT next summer! Thanks for updating your score which several forget to do after they rediscover a great ride(like Flight of Fear and the other changed Premier coasters).

Yes, I update my ratings too. Over time rides tend to change, depending on age and how well they are maintained. I see this site as an oppritunity for people to know what to expect whan they go to a park, and an important part of that is to keep reviews updated.

Adventure Express is one of the best mine trains, but the best one is Big Thunder Mountain in Disneyland Paris. Its got the same great theming as the American BTMs, but with a more intense ride, like Adventure Express.
