Review of Batman The Dark Knight @ Six Flags New England
0 Rating Posted by: Shortcake on 4/22/2002 10:52:00 AM
After much thought, I decided that I had to revise my review. My original review gave it a 9, but after riding it more Ive reconsidered. Its a good compact floorless that gives an intense ride. So intense that my vision is always blurry at the end. But, this coaster lacks the consistency (smoothness) that Ive come to expect from a new B&M. I always ride in the same seat in the same row and my experiences range from a pleasantly smooth ride with little headbanging to a disappointing rough ride with a lot of headbanging. The station is very small and gets congested quickly when there is a line waiting for a particular row. All in all a good addition to the park.

There is a seperate line for the front row. At the top of the stairs, when you turn right, the line for the front row is at extreme right.

Man i got to get out and ride this thing! Everyone keeps saying that the corkscrews were rough. Did anybody here think so?

I got a good look at the line that you are talking about and not only was it blocked off by a garbage can (as well as park personnel), but I didnt see that it lead to the front row. I thought I saw it lead to a manual operated gate in front of the front row which park personnel might use. In fact there was a solid bar separating that line from the front row que. I may be mistaken, but I did ride in the front row and we were not able to que seperately for it.

There is a separate line for the front. The second you come up the stairs you take that right and there is a bar that separates the front. The station is very small though every time the train loads they have to ask for people to step up and fill in the empty rows. They need to add a little more space for a separate que for the back seat because it is causing too many back up in an already long line. Sfnesros: the corkscrews have to be the best B&M has ever created. Instead of coming out a break run into them you come out the zero g-roll which make them sooooooooo intense. You will love the ride if you like intensity. Everyone get ready for hour and a half waits for this 1:40 ride durring the summa!!

If there is a separate line for the front, it wasnt being used between 3:00 and 3:30 on Saturday. Especially since I rode in the front. We boarded (as well as a number of other people) from the regular line and there was no separation.

Am I the only one who did not experience a separate line for the front row??? I almost always sit in the front so I take special notice of something like that. Im talking the kind of separate line that SROS has or Nitro and Medusa at SFGAdv. A line that is completely separated from the rest of the line in the station. There was about 12 of us waiting for the front row and it made the station really cramped.

oooohhhh ya know youre right. There isnt a separate line. I remember becuase while I was on the stairs I look up at this girl with a nice butt. I couldnt completely see it because she was waiting for the front which is on the inside bar of the station. The station is very unorganized the front seat line was mixed in with all the others.

Thank you. I was starting to wonder if I was on drugs or something. With a little work they could probably make one.

I was there on Saturday also and there was definately no
seperate line for the front car. They should definately do one though for the summer months ahead.

When I rode Batman there were twenty or more people in the seperate line for the front seat. This rail that seperates the extreme right of the station from the queues may not have been built as a front seat line, but thats how it was being used when I had my ride.

I hope that they will use that section as a front row que. Its going to be very crowded in the station and the loading times will be longer this summer if they dont. Its bad enough that most of their coasters dont have a separate line.

I was slightly disapointed after reading the great comments on this site by this ride. While a good ride, it deserves no more than a 7.

You are absolutely right. I reviewed this ride way too quickly. I just got back there this past weekend. After having ridden it a couple more times, I decided that Id overrated it. I dont often change my ratings and it wasnt just because you said something. Your post just reminded me that I was going to do it anyway.

Has anyone else experienced blurry vision at the end of this ride? This is the first ride that Ive ever experienced this on.

I didnt experience blury vision but this ride has the mos head banging Ive seen on a B&M. Note: I have only been on this one and the three at Six Flags Great Adventure.
