This was a good ride, although not worthy of a ten, to me it needs more elements, like more hills, the first one didnt give me that sensation most drops give. The layout of the ride was good and pretty good themed(heck, good themes all around Gotham Park). The lapbars give you the snese that they wont hold you in on loops, but they do, there is a lot of force going on you on those vertical loops. You should ride this ride when you go to this park.

A 6? are you forgetting that the lack of elements is due to the fact it was built in 1978? this ride was the first of its kind and best in the world when it came out, and still is one of the best 24 years later. deserves MUCH better than a 6.

How can you give Mindbender a six? It is a classic steel coaster that has been there since the seventies and after probrably 100 rides, it doesnt get old!

disney has a point. it doesnt really matter that the ride was built in 1978. it still has a lack of elements, and most people here rate coasters by todays standards, so you shouldnt criticize this rating.

What exact is "todays standards"? Seems to me that there is no standard set by the amusement industry yet set by you. I set my standards low so I will enjoy alot of the smaller rides unlike some others (Im not targeting anyone in particular) who always slam the small rides because they are too small, short, slow, etc.

I didnt mean any standards set by the amusement industry. When it comes to thrill rides, this site lets us set our own standards. And most peoples standards on here are, tall, fast, extreme rides that push you to the limits. Not EVERYONEs standards, but a lot of peoples (like me) rednk you have every right to have your own standards for thrill rides, but please let us have ours.

For the time it was built it was a fantastic ride. It still is. in your mind its not worth a 10 but its worth alot more then a 6.

WHen I rated this, I knew all that you are saying. Although, even if it was made in 1978, I still thought it was good, except that it was still missing a few things. Like Corkscrew, that ride was made in the 70s, I dont like that ride that much either, but Blue Streak, made much Earlier, I love. It doesnt matter when it was made, I give it a good score its fun, and this was an ok ride.
