This is a very well-themed flume and is certainly lots of fun. The drop, as usual, looks more intimidating than it is.

It could have been one of the great the flume rides out there if there were more to the ride than just one drop. But still the ride is fun for all and its one of StoryLands cant miss rides.

Its been a VERY long time since Ive ridden this ride. When I rode it when I was little, it was my favorite ride ever. If I ride it again, I probably would still like it. I rode it with my brother and when we saw the singing flutes, my brother told them to shut up. I really remember that! The plunge was quite fun at the time and it probably still is. I hope I get to go to Storyland again sometime to ride this again!

The Bamboo Chutes is a fun family log flume that shouldnt be missed on a hot day, log flume lover, or thrill seeker at Story Land. Located towards the back left side of Story Land, the Bamboo Chutes is well themed with a Chinese entrance. With bamboo-like handrails underneath a Manderan like building during your 10-20 minute wait, the Bamboo Chutes loads and dispatches very quickly like most flumes. Riding in bamboo-colored logs with a frightened pandas face on the front of the log, the first part of the ride has you winding back and forth. Then you reach a small incline, go down, and then slow down. You then approach the lift hill after traveling around a U-turn and by a mist-breathing, green Dragon that looks spectacular. After a quick climb, you travel down a small incline and travel by multi-colored, singing bamboo. Once rounding a quick turn comes the big drop. Around 25ft in height, the drop is smaller than most drops on a log flume, but fits in perfectly at Story Land. While going down the drop you get your picture taken and the on-ride photo has a very low price and is of excellent quality with a bamboo border around the edges. The splashdown gets you a little wet, ending this fun family flume. Overall, a flume that fits in perfectly with Story Land, but is no where nearly as good as other log flumes.

i have been coming to this park because its great for my younger sister but its also some fun for me to and so since this is one of the two "thrill rides" at the park i ride it alot. both the ride and the line is short but and something good for the teens to do while the younger kids go on another ride

A great use of space, the ride travels around a small track and past a dragon. This is where the great use of space comes in, your bamboo log travels up the lift hill which is along a natural hill side in the park, and around singing bamboo. The log then drops you to the ground. There are 2 other mini drop (a Hopkins Signature) along the ride as well. The on-ride photos are a good price and come in a mate that looks like tied bamboo. Little touches like these are what this park dos best.
