Short typical corkscrew coaster still fun though.

Although Corkscrew isn't that amazing, it's still a fun little ride. This coaster flipped me upside down for the first time in my life. I've heard people complain about the station, but the only real problem I notice is that the paint job is really ugly. The station actually looks really good and unique from the outside. A lot of people don't like this ride at all, but I think it's really good. Corkscrew exhibits some of Cedar Fair's finest work. Although I've never been to Michigan's Adventure before Cedar Fair bought it, I've seen old pictures of the all white and unlandscaped version of this ride. It's a ride I could not see Michigan's Adventure trashing any time soon.

I can't see why this ride has such a bad rap. It is a classic, one of the world's first modern inverting coasters! The station looks great on the outside (the inside needs a bit of work), the corkscrew right over the line is a nice effect, the first drop is fun, and Michigan's Adventure just wouldn't be complete without this great ride.

I do admit the the station isn&#39.t that pretty but its cool to watch the race track below. The workers at this coaster never were as fun. Basically I feel like this coaster is over as soon as it starts... sure the loops are fun but its over so fast I ask myself if its really worth the ride. I rode it several times in the past because it was the only ride in the park to go upside down (before thunderhawk) but its really not too exciting.

This ride is actualy one of the smoother Arrow corkscrews. It has a great appearence and a really cool paint job. The ride is situated in the 50s area of the park and thats why it has the retro paint job.

Its one of my favorite Steel Coasters at the park. It is to the point, you get the drop and
you get the upside down feeling. The only bad thing is that the cars are like 20 years old and the
employees have to manualy lock the cars. Its a
10 though

This is one of the coasters I hold in my heart, because it was the second coaster I ever rode back in 1987 (the first was Jr. Gemini at Cedar Point the year before) and it was the first one I ever rode that spun me upside down. Sure its not long, but it does the job. I remember when this was the only coaster in the park (until Wolverine Wildcat opened in 1988 ). This is also the coaster I rode the most.

When youre in a park that has three worthwhile roller coasters, its not worth it to skip this one. The ride itself was much smoother than CPs Corkscrew, though short of the vertical loop and a bit smaller. A day later my neck still hurts from the beatings of the restraint. The fact that the locks on the OTSRs were manual is a bit scary, and the fact that it runs a single train is a bit irritating, though the ride itself is so short it probably isnt worth it to have more than one (unless the train isnt operating correctly, as was the case for about half the day I was in the park). Also a bit worrisome is the fact that the track crosses the queue area twice (once while passengers are upside-down), but there arent any screens to stop any possible objects or debris from falling onto those waiting in line. [upon reflection, a 7 was a bit too high for this ride, so I lowered my score for it]

Probably not worth the two minute wait in the piping hot station that we had to endure. Worth a ride for the credit only - theres really nothing to this ride, but its the only looping coaster in the park, so I guess thats its draw.

This ride surprised me. It is quite possibly the smoothest corkscrew ride that I have encountered. Love the look with that bright orange color scheme. I also like the way the train goes through the corkscrew right above the entrance.
