Very poor 1st generation freefall. This one was very loud and throughout the ride, I heard tons of creeking and bangin that wasnt on Demon Drop. The drop was sudden on this one, but the drop was pretty poor as there was no air and almost no stomach dropping sensation. At the bottom, it was very rough and bumpy.
This is no comparison to Cedar Points Demon Drop, I feel safe on the Demon Drop but on here i was very scared because of all the creaking and clanking. This was also a the same first gen. freefall that the caar came down on the other one, it was relocated to geauga lake, well thats what wikipedia says. Luckily i didnt know that when riding. But after its done, it was a nice drop but very rough at the bottom.
Unique drop ride. My first drop ride so i was real scared. Fun ride though.
One word: Scary. Not from the drop... but from the creaking, groaning, snapping, and swaying of the structure. It really is quite a thrill, but this isnt the kind you get on a coaster. This is the fright-thrill where you are actually in real physical danger. Ha ha! About the only parks that have these left are Cedar Point and Geauga Lake, and Im sure they plan to just keep it going until it falls down from age and that will save them demolition money. Do I recommend it? No. If you have free time, theres no line and you want a death-thrill, you might want to slightly consider maybe considering to consider it.
I like these "first generation" freefalls... what more can I say.
This ride is very rough and needs major work it sounds like its going to fall apart. I enjoy Demon Drop much better at CP.
This is a Demon Drop dipoff but theres no comparison. This thing feels like a ride that a canie put up overnight and feels and sounds like it could fall apart at any minute. That could be kind of exciting I guess. Will it work or will it fall to pieces and kill us all?
Would have been a 1 but when I was there this guy just kept riding it over and over in the same seat. He was actually chewing on the ride restraint so now I have a funny story every time I go there. Overall an very bad and rough version of this ride.
FreeFalls are a lot of fun, but this one was very rough on the brakes. It is fun to see the view from the top though.
Upkeep Upkeep Upkeep!!! This ride is so much fun at Cedar Point, but yet I hated this one. Why? POOR UPKEEP! All I could hear was metal on metal, banging ... slamming ... and griding. The ride was just painful, loud, and uncomfortable thanks to the rides lousy state. A smile from the ride ops now and then wouldnt hurt either, but thats asking too much from SFWoA.
