The Monsoon is a boat ride. It is fast, fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and long duration.

The only ride my girl friend will get on, well the only one that goes down a hill, maybe its cause the massive pool at the bottom, there's not much too it just one really big hill. half the fun is standing on the bridge after the ride and get really wet, the boats make a fifty foot splash when they hit the bottom of the hill, Fun ride, Infact the only ride you can ride from either Worlds Of Fun Or Oceans of Fun.

Again this is just a generic lift and drop boat ride that you can ride at most any park in America. While its certainly not a bad ride by any means, I wish they would do something with it to make it unique from other parks. Other than that, it does serve its purpose and serves it well. And thats to get you wet and cool off on a hot day.

Poor concept from the get go. It is one hill that makes a large splash, that doesnt even get riders wet. Very slow load time, so if it is a busy day, it can be a huge wait. The observation tower does get you soaked though.

This was another one of those generic boat rides. You go up the lift. Turn around and hit the drop with a flat section to produce airtime. I hadnt expected the flat section on the drop, and I got a lot of airtime! I was like a foot of the boat (there were no restraints) Then we hit the splash down and turned into the station. The only thing that saves this rides rating is the pop of airtime and trying to run over the bridge before getting soaked.

Nice splash ride...could be compared to the Playland Plunge over in New York Citys Playland. The water on the bridge can (and will) knock you over if youre not prepared for whats about to hit you. There is some air time, I think the drop is about 60 feet and at a steep angle. Oceans of Fun should be on this site.

As is the problem with most of the rides at Worlds of Fun, the lack of theme, music, sounds, actors, and overall fun factor is present. A dull ride that relies solely on dropping you down and getting you wet for its thrills.

Needs help, Like it should have never been built. Well, lets not go that far. The ride has some greatness to it for those that have not experienced JURASSIC PARK RIVER ADVENTURE. Monsoon is one of the several GENERIC lift and drop boat rides through out the world. But wait, WOF puts a dip in the drop hill, This slows down the ride and makes the splash less of an impact and only the people on the observation bridge get wet (soaked). Zero Themeing. Plus if the lines are shorter at the Oceans of Fun water park, they receive priority over the guests that paid more to enter the ride side of the park(s). [ 30min wait for WOF and 5min wait for OOF guests, not fair.]

A pretty fun ride, with a steep drop and some good airtime. You get very wet on the ride, but standing on the bridge, you get soaked. Maybe not worth a 30 min. or longer wait, but this is a fun ride.
