Certainly a better ride than it appeared to be, with great airtime. It was a good starter coaster for children because it certainly was intense (for a kiddie coaster), and was not uninteresting for adults, just because of the great surprise that it was a powerful ride! It's too bad to see it go.

This ride is no kiddie ride. Dispite its look, it has snapping drops, its quite a wicked fun ride. Its also one of the only functioning Overland coasters in the world. Built in 1955. I have been on it afew times on my 3 trips to Knobels. It dont have the jaw dropping effect of other coasters, insane drops, or high g turns, but its a rare classic. The sudden snapping jolts are similer to the jolts on wildmouse/mousetrap style coasters, the bunny hops on this coaster literally make you hop off your seat. Not the fastest or tallest, but its a classic, and a nice introduction to a kid who has never been on a coaster ride before.

Ah, so this is the kiddie coaster to end all kiddie coasters. I wasnt amazed by HSTC, but had I not heard all the hoopla about it, I probably would have been! I still thought it was an above average ride. I got four laps if I remember right, and each had some lateral gs down the twisted drop. Im not sure I would classify the sensation of the bunny hills as uber-awesome ejector air time, but they were definitely powerful jolts, so to speak. A few other things I remember about the ride were the tight restraints and the extremely loud noise the lift makes. Overall, very good for a small coaster, but I dont think its a "must" on every trip to this mountainous park.

Amazing kiddie coaster thats easily one of the best Ive been on. The ride may not look the best, but it rides really well. When the lift hill is really cranked up, the curved drop gave good laterals and the bunny hill even gave some air time. I also got 5 laps on this.

I actually really enjoyed this little coaster, or at least much more than other similar "kiddie coasters." The snapping you get on the bunny hills is surprisingly intense and there is even a bit of airtime to be had. Its pretty funny to see little kids stumble off this ride with a bewildered look on their face --- Id say its a pretty intense starter coaster

I have an extremely hard time rating true childrens coasters. This is definately one. I also havent been on many outside Florida, but for an adult rating, a five is OK. I was a bit surprised at the hills and I did laugh which always happens with my brother, sister, and husband on the same train. Then you add Larry to the mix and it was extremely funny. However, sitting that aside, I cant say it looked all that "safe" and as I said before it is hard for me to rate them. So here I am going with a high five...

This would be a great first coaster for a kid. The last little hill I did get some good air time. Its just a nice little coaster.

I thought it was a nice little coaster! It gets a 7 because it almost killed my neck!

This ride is awesome! Definitely not a kiddie ride. It appears to be but its not. This ride is powered by a 6 cylinder chevy engine that was converted to run on propane gas. It has a top speed of 40 mph! Excellent for a ride of 200 feet around! Sit in the back seat once and then tell me if its just for kids. A must ride for roller coaster fanatics! They dont make them like this anymore unfortunately. My personal favorite ride at Knoebels since i was a kid.

They call it "High Speed Thrill", but its not really high speed or thrilling. Still, the ride is OK and its the last remaining Overland coaster in the world.
