I love love love this park and especially this ride! Its the perfect balance between scary and funny. Things jump out at you, loud noises startle you, and some of the props are hilarious. I grew up vacationing at knoebels and my entire family joked about the woman wearing the red dress with her saggy deflated boobs! This ride is.most definitely a MUST SEE!

This ride is great! It freaked me out a little too, with things hanging and stuff popping out, this a dark ride you shouldn't miss.

A great ride; the effects are very well-done. The ride manages to be just a mite scary and very amusing at the same time; children should really be able to handle this ride, for although this ride has surprising elements (naturally), none of them should really be terrifying.

This ride is good, but does NOT deserve the high praise that it gets IMHO. In addition, the fact that this ride isn't included in the wristband is a bit annoying. If a big theme park tried pulling this, critics would be merciless. For some reason, however, Knoebel's is immune to criticism.

I remember way back when I was little, instead of a car horn and 2 lights, I remember just one light, and it was more of a train whistle. Most ot the stuff at the time I closed my eyes, but I laughed at the train whistle and light, (LOVED trains at the time) Unes it was still a car in 1987 or 88ish. I just remember one light though. My 2 recent trips, they have added rubber tubes that feel like spider webs shortly after entering the house, most of the ride is pitch black, some black lights, dim lights and strobe lights and stuff, and stuff that pops out infront of you. Terror wise, its a scary ride, its not the disney world haunted house ride with the cute song and holograms of ghosts dancing in a ballroom, its stuff that pops infront of you and makes you jump off your seat. The ride has won awards for the best haunted house ride in the US for several years. Its not for the faint of heart, who dares to enter... hehe.

Outstanding ride. Was very dark, loud, and well-timed. Some of the more memorable effects were the 3d skulls, the exit sign, the lazers, the extremely loud car horn, and the neon effects. This was much better than the one at Ocean City, MD, and has sparked my interest in haunted houses and dark rides in general.

Usually I skip haunted houses when I visit parks because most of them disappoint me. However, people always phrase this one so I had to ride it. The exterior of the mansion looked incredible and really captured the rides creepy aura. This was a very long ride and lived up to the hype as tons of the gags scared me, especially one in the middle and the last two, which were doozies.

Very Good. Probably the most fun haunted house in the country. The historic effects, great condition and fast pace make this a great ride. Worth a special trip just to ride this and the bumper cars.

The Haunted Mansion is alright. Im not a big fan of them, and many of the things in it are super corny. The scariest part for me is the train lights/horn that come on.

Ill admit, I had my doubts about this ride. I had seen pictures of the cheesy looking innards that lay within the unsuspecting facade, and I figured that most of the rides acclaim was derived from simple classic appeal. Well, I was blown away by this ride. The sheer pitch blackness that Knoebels is able to manage is fanastically utilized to scare the complete utter sh*t out of riders. Sure the props are corny and unrealistic, but there is also a certain level of unworldliness about their designs that is just plain creepy. I would describe the ride as a bizarre fusion of a FearFest walkthrough and a Sally dark ride minus the guns. Amazing ride and undoubtedly worth the steep $1.40 to ride.
