This was a very fun little ride that was made all the better by the superior theming that it exhibited. The exterior of the ride is a neat Mayan temple, and the queue winds through very lush tropical vegetation. Once inside, it is a very dimly-lit chamber that serves as the station. The train is pretty long and each car can accomodate either one, two, or three riders. The ride itself is completely enclosed and completely in the dark. My guess is that this is some kind of junior coaster that is made to felt like much more being that you cant really see anything. Going up the lift hill, you hear some spooky moans and a shrill recorded scream, before doing the ride itself. It actually reminded me quite a bit of Disneylands Space Mountain, making mostly right turns until the very end when you make a sharp left. I felt this was an effective ride for both the beginner and the experienced coaster enthusiast.

Great theming with speakers cleverly disguised as rocks. I hate the seats. Overall, reminds me of Runaway Mountain.

pretty nice ride. I thought it was fun. I like the tight turns, although, it can get a little jerkey, but Ill give it an 8

I think this ride is great! Being in the dark makes the ride all worth it, and as a bonus great to ride with that special someone in your life.

This ride seemed like it was flying, Round and Round it goes. While you cant see anything in the Dark. This is the first indoor Dark Coaster I have ever been on and I rode this one like 20 times in 2 days. This is a Must go on Coaster if your in Houston. Its the only non-wooden Coaster on My Top 10

Tight turns in the dark. Suspenseful, and a bit jerky since you cant see what turn is coming next. Very poor "log ride" car design, which seems to be more made for one parent with a child or two sitting in front of him/her (someone sitting in someone elses lap... sitting in someone elses lap). This design makes you think its a ride intended for kiddies, but the fact that the whole ride is in complete darkness is a bit too much for some youngsters. While waiting in line, I saw many 6-8 year olds get off the ride with a terrified look on their faces. This should be more of a "teenager, second date, girl in guys lap" kind of ride. Should take a hint from Disneylands Space Mountain, which uses a flashing strobe light throughout the ride to very good effect.

If you like helixes, optical illusions, or non-looping ride (i like looping coasters), youll like this ride. Good dark ride. When I was at this ride for the first time, this one guy said and I quote "If you like Runaway Mountain from SFOT and Space Mountain from DWMK, youll like this."

This is one of the best rides in AstroWorld!!!!!!!! Well, if your not into really big rides this is. I would reccomend it to anyone who likes being in the dark, but doesnt get bored if the ride is kind of a kiddie ride.

This was my first "dark" coaster (not counting Fire in the Hole.) While not as good as Runaway Mt., I will always remember my first ride on this one. It was a blast.

Cool theming but this coaster is not worthy. Ride something else in the park. The queue was attempted well, however, gum and trash were more prevalent than themeing, and line cutting was definately en vogue at this park. The ride was weak, even for a kiddie ride. The pyramid made me think the ride would be good, but it was a weak indoor coaster. Sadly, this is one of the worst coasters than I have been on, and I wont miss it when the park is closed.
