The show is very immersive. If Honey I shrunk the audience was bad, don't try this. It's scary how realistic some of these effects are at times.

Good show, but I don't appreciate a lot 4-D shows. The scenery is very good and the movie is funny, but it's not the best ride of Animal Kingdom

An all-around great show. The animatronics live up to my expectations, and when the bees and spiders attack, all the little kids scream. It's awesome. I have been to the one at AK and California adventure, and I noticed that at both the 3D effect doesn't really work. At times you have to cross your eyes to see it right (I have 20/20 vision).

An above average 3D show with some very unique elements. The attraction begins as soon as you enter the line, the queue takes you on an amazing journey through the roots of the Tree of Life. Not only is it an amazing vantage point of all the carved animals on the tree, you also feel like you steadily shrink to the size of a bug which perfectly sets you up for the show! The theater is incredibly themed to feel like you are deep within the earth with seats that even look like wood. The show flows well with a variety of cool effects like shooting air, water sprayers, and fake stingers. Parents beware!!! young children will not like the darkness, loud noises, and large insects!

I enjoyed this show, but was disappointed not to see more characters from A Bug's Life (including Frances, Heimlich, etc), so children who are familiar with the movie may also be disappointed. I feel that they would still enjoy the ride, however. Those who are squeamish about "being touched" would do well to move forward onto the edge of their seat when it is announced that humans should stay put to allow various insects out of the theater. Adults may find the show too short or too corny, but I just found it a very fun time.

This used to be the centerpiece attraction for Animal kingdom. I hate it now and hated it back then. 3D shows are way too plentiful in Florida theme parks.

Having never seen Pixar’s much-renowned It’s a Bug’s Life (the movie this attraction is based on), I wasn’t overly enthusiastic about seeing this show. Well that and the fact that I have always found insects more gross than cool, go figure. However, it was a stifling hot summer day and an air-conditioned film that many have raved about had no wait at all, so I gave it a chance not expecting too much and I was absolutely blown away by how well done the entire attraction is. The queue was a masterpiece in my opinion, offering some breathtaking views of the park’s iconic Tree of Life from some very interesting angels from down below. But less prominent yet just as enjoyable, were fake, bug-themed promotional posters scattered throughout the queue that were quite witty and well thought out filled with plenty of puns.

After donning a pair of aptly-named “bug eyes”, I sat down in a very well themed theater. The wooden benches really fit the bug theme and there were so many little touches scattered about the theater. Once the show begin, it combined a quality Flik (the blue ant) animatronic with the great 3-D show I have come to know and love from Disney. But of all of Disney’s 3-D shows, this one is far and away my personal favorite thanks to the flawless blend of witty humor, incredible 4-D effects, and great 3-D effects that had me cringing. The whole premise of the attraction is Flik trying to show us that bugs and humans should be friends instead of enemies is simplistic, but sufficient enough since it applies to the attraction. While only about 5 minutes long, the attraction had some very unique and unexpected effects such as bee stings, bug spray, and creepy, crawling bugs, just to name a few. I really don’t want to spoil the film, but each and every one of the effects are executed to perfection and many of them had me jumping literally!

It’s a Bug’s Life is definitely one of Animal Kingdom’s best attractions thanks to the all-around quality of the entire performance. Some segments had me laughing hysterically, while others had some intense special effects that made me cringe or flinch. This is easily Disney’s best 3-D show and not only that, but the best one out there (though it would be challenged by T2 3D the very next day). Young kids probably would be frightened on this attraction though do to the loud nature of the attraction and some very intense effects that even had many adults jumping. While at the park be sure to check out this excellent attraction since it’s a great experience and it’s a great way to escape the heat.

Really didnt plan or want to go on this. Had a hankering to go inside the Tree of Life, but not strong enough to sit through something bad when I could have been doing something else. I asked the employee at the front of the queue if there was any significant reason I SHOULD take the time to go, and received the all-important answer "Air conditioning." Since I passed out later in the day (in the stroller and wheelchair rental location, of all places - at least they recognized that someone sweating profusely and turning white needed some help), that was enough! The design, execution, and carvings on the Tree of Life were astounding.
Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the show. The 3D effects were great and surprising to me. Even just animated buggies doing their stinging, farting, and webbing stuff significantly got my attention. Like so many other things in Florida (safari, manatees, seals, dolphins, penguins, killer whales, etc), it was enough to make me reconsider my lifestyle as a typical American who consumes a lot but doesnt recycle enough, and pesticides at the first sign of little multi-legged creatures. Thats probably too much thought to be put into a fun, animated 3D flick, but it proves the show has some educational benefits, even for the middle-aged. The end, which shouldnt be spoiled, adds two points and had me examining the relevant rquipment to figure out How the @#$ did they do that? Definitely worth the time, even if its cool enough that air conditioning isnt a factor.

Kinda weird and creepy but the effects are cool and the show is overall great.

pretty entertaining. yet its a little short and not as high-tech as it used to be.
