Its creepy and dark. You get shot a high speeds and will experiance dips and hills and sharp turns. This line dosen't ever get long until late in the day. This line didn't have a wait and it was the third ride I experienced when I went. Defently put your belongings in a locker, or when the ride is done you won't have them anymore. This line may get up to a 30 minuet wait tops, so you may ride this ride when ever you disire. I would rate it a 10/10 because I love roller coasters and dark rides. Its like a indoor roller coaster and haunted house. Things pop out at you and flames get very close to you. I wouldn't ride this ride if you get sick easily, afraid of the dark, don't like haunted houses, don't like going backwards, afraid of fire, don't like roller coasters, don't like getting whipped around a bit, don't like unsespected drops or afraid of mummies and bugs. The quene is neat, it's like a little museam of anceint mummies and pharos. Weird obtical ollutions in the ride quene too. Don't ride this ride if the wait is more than an 1 1/2 but I would if it was and hour wait. Its a great ride. If you have trouble with one of the things above this ride is defintaly not for you. Watch out for the bugs!

Just like Spiderman over at IoA is a full on hybrid of dark ride + 3-d movie, the Mummy is equal parts dark ride + roller coaster. An interesting combo, and it works quite well. The line's theming is impressive, including a huge statue of Anubis. Then you enter the ride, which alternates between its two ride-genres. The dark ride is quite good. Ancient no-goodnik Im-Ho-Tep unleashes his undead minion, lots of fire, and those creepy carnivorous beetles. The fx are quite well done, the sets moody + detailed, and it has far and away the best audio-animatronic action at Universal. The coaster is also good. Some scary/sudden turns and dips in the dark, good speed, a little backwards action, and some great airtime going over the small hills. About the only (small) downsides: the video at the end makes no sense, and it feels a bit on the brief side, but perhaps that's due to divvying up its time to the two distinct types of rides. Overall though, quite a lot of fun.

Its not worth ripping out King Kong for a simple in-doors roller coaster. This is the worst mistake Universal has ever made in their history. But there is good news, it doesnt look like its the last huge mistake they will make.

Rvenge of the mummy is the worlds fastest enclosed lim coaster. This ride is supposed to be a movie but, then turns real. The great themeing and exucution of this ride is top nocth. This ride taking place in the same building as king kong ride, even though universal had a king kong remake coming out later in the year this ride opended. This ride start&#39.s out like a dark ride.
This ride starts out with a slow curve into a tomb where there is a mummy with a baseball cap on saying. &quot. Are you guys insane? Get out of here the curse it&#39.s real&quot. He gets cut off by imohtep who says. &quot. With your souls I shall rule for all etrnity&quot. Then there is another slow curve. Then you go in to a room with a screen on which imohtep appears saying. &quot.Join me and protect the riches beyond measure. And refuse and die!&quot. you then accelarte with a door closing down on you. Then you stop at a wall with a bunch of rocks in it. The rocks then break and wound up being scrab beetles that cover the entire wall and some rocks poor out also. There is a small back- words drop. Then you see imhotep saying &quot. Not even the medji can save you now. There is no escape.&quot. You turn around while he says that and start to go up. You see him at the top of the hill saying &quot. The souls are mine&quot. You then have an Lim acceleration from 2-40 Mph in to coaster part. You then stop at a fake unload station with a ride atteandt shilloute saying &quot. We hope you enjoyed your ride on...&quot. when imohtep takes her soul and says &quot.death is only the beginning!&quot. You then enter a shorter coaster part where there is mist and imotep says NOOOOO!!!! and the coaster part ends. You then slowly go streight slowly where you see Brenden Fraser saying &quot.Hope you enjoyed your ride. I would&#39.ve enjoyed this interveiw alot more if I HAD GOTTEN MY CUP OF COFFE!&quot. A shadow comes by with his coffe and he say&#39.s annoyingly &quot.Thanks&quot. he then looks up and its imohtep the screen then goes black and he screams &quot.AAAAAHHHHHH&quot..

An excellent ride best in the park currently. Worth a good 25-35 minute wait defintly worth a vist if in the park.

Of all the coasters included on my Orlando trip, I honestly anticipated the Mummy the most. Why? Because I had heard so many comments about major ejector air, great theming, and an all-around great ride experience. Let me just say that the ride delivered to the impressive reputation it has garnered ever since opening. Nestled where King Kong once roamed, the Mummy’s queue is elaborately well themed with various interactive artifacts and just the whole atmosphere really captures the tone of the movies- dark and mysterious. While the queue is very well done, it’s well worth for single riders to utilize the single rider queue since often times it has a 5 minute wait or so as opposed to the common 20-30 minute wait in the normal queue.

As far as the ride goes, Universal did an incredible job with the Mummy coaster. The beginning scenes were essentially a dark ride that establishes the ride’s plot- join Imhotep or lose your soul. Obviously riders choose the latter and are forced to flee his tomb before it’s too late. It’s a very simple premise, but it’s very effective. Scattered throughout the ride are numerous very well done scenes that include fire and video, which get combined with very intense coaster portions in almost total darkness. The combination works flawlessly and I compliment Universal for pulling it off.

But the coaster portion is really where the ride deserves praise. While the backwards portion was short and honestly dull due to the exclusion of any real elements, the forwards part really is where the ride excels. The subsequent upward launch is pretty good, but it’s overshadowed by the major moment of sustained ejector air created while cresting the hill. It’s arguably one the most forceful moment of airtime I’ve ever experienced! Not only is there that heavenly burst of air, but immediately after is a very sudden and forceful drop with some incredibly powerful laterals. What a beginning to the coaster portion! Following are an exciting array of twists, turns, and drops all executed at breakneck speeds in darkness, resulting in an excellent combination of positive Gs, laterals, and a very sudden and abrupt moment of ejector air.

Soon the ride hits a brake run and smoothly stops at an exit platform, or so we think, since Imhotep subsequently appears, eliminates the “ride operator” and immediately lights the ceiling on fire. In the last possible moment, riders are launched down a very sudden and steep, twisting plunge yet again delivering great ejector air, but this time it’s only found in the back rows. Honestly I thought the fake exit platform was ingenious and it actually tricked me momentarily. Anyway, following that swift plunge, the ride’s essentially over and while the coaster portion seems on the short side, it was incredible.

Revenge of the Mummy truly is an exceptional coaster, and by far the best attraction on the Studios side. The coaster portion itself was very action-packed, but it was on the short side (alone it probably would have been an eight). However, when combined with the incredible theming, added thrill of darkness, and very nice dark ride portion beginning the ride, this is undoubtedly a 10. While not the absolute best ride of my entire trip (Dueling Dragons- Fire earns that claim), Premier and Universal did an outstanding job on this coaster allowing riders to experience a monumental blend of dark ride elements and an intense coaster.

I didnt have many expectations going into Revenge of the Mummy. I figured it was going to be pretty good, and I heard multiple comments on the powerful pops of airtime it offers. Still, I wasnt anticipating the ride all that much. I went in with an unbiased, open mind... and then my mind was blown.

Revenge of the Mummy is essentially a relentless bombardment of effects, forces, and images, all jam-packed into what seemed a very fleeting ride experience. The theming was absolute top-notch, as is to be expected from Universal, and it truly felt like you had entered one of the Mummy movies. What a rush. The crowning achievement of this ride, however, is the solid airtime riders get. Hot dayum --- very sudden and powerful ejector airtime is hidden atop a few blessed bunny-hills that occurs so suddenly, riders are flung into the next series of effects before they even know what hit them.

All in all, I gave Revenge of the Mummy a 9 because although the ride was relentless, the pacing left a lot to be desired, IMO. The fake exit platform happened so quickly, I almost missed it. I suppose theres only so much they could pack in, but it seemed to fly through the storyline very rapidly.

Even still, I commend Universal Studios for another truly immersive, top-of-the-line ride experience

This ride took me by complete surprise. I was expecting a tame little kids coaster, but came out with alot of airtime and a fast intense ride through fire and mist and other great theming.

The revenge of the mummy is a great rollercoaster, especially for being under 50 feet tall. The effects and the launch sudden stops, fake unload site, and all the helixes make this a great ride. This ride in my opinion has the coolest effects in all of universal studios and Islands of Adventure. This is easily my favorite ride in Universal Studios. My favorite at Islands of Adventure is Easily the Incredible Hulk Coaster hence my name Hulkamania =).Not for Hulk Hogan =). Anyway, back to the ride, well first you go through a room or two and come to the first part of the rides plot where the coffin pops open and he steals the kids soul and then you race under the door that is closing on top of you. Then you go into a room with two short walls of bricks to your side and fire flares and a bunch of mummys pop up which is pretty cool. You enter a new room take a left accelerate and there is a quick stop, bugs come out a wall breaks open and your train falls backwards you go onto the turning platform and then accelerate up the hill go into a bunch of helixes and come to a room, a voice comes over saying thanks for riding yadayadayad blahblah W/e and then flames engulf the room you go through more helixes and the ride ends. Awesome ride and Im looking forward to riding it next week. Just not the spring break ride lines.
