If you are in good enough health to do this cave tour, by all means do it! It offers some absolutely breath taking views that you have to see to believe. They do warn you that you have to climb up and down a lot of steps in the hour long tour and they mean it. If you even question in your mind if you can't handle it, you might want to skip out. Its a lot of climbing and ducking under narrow passages in wet conditions. But if your up to it, go for it!

The wait to go in the cave is usually a long time. They take a picture of your group before which is kind of awkward because you tend to get separated from your kids who are in the front and you're crammed against many people you don't know. The cave and the tour are very interesting but it is long. It is nice to go in the summer when it's really hot outside though.

Everyone visiting the park must take the time to see the cave. It does not offer crazy formations, but the cathedral room is incredible.
I can not even express with words how amazing it is, you just have to see it for yourself.

Great review. I love the cave, it always gives you something to do when the wait for Wildfire is over an hour (pretty rare) It also helps when it is 98 degrees outside.

Marvel Cave, originally Marble Cave is one of the largest cave systems in the state of Missouri. Opened for its first tour in 1894. This cave boasts one of the Largest Cathedral room in the world. It was also the first cave in the U.S. to have a cable-car train return you to the top of the cave after traveling over 56 stories deep. This is a must see cave. The walls and ceilings resemble Marble in every way and it is one of the most vivid pictures you could ever see. Several bats still reside in the cave that is one of the reasons the Branson area is Mosquito free. You can see them sleeping while on the tour. And for a hot day, the cave holds an average temperature of 52-degrees.
Silver Dollar City was built on top of the cave, to give the public something to do while waiting for their cave tour time. Now with the coasters, rides, and shows, the cave has turned to one of the many attractions but while you are at the park, the cave tour is free.
