A few years ago I viewed a special on Islands of Adventure on TV that featured segments on many of the park’s unique attractions such as the Hulk, Spiderman, Dueling Dragons, Jurassic Park, and others. Surprisingly enough, Sinbad was included in that TV feature and from the segment on it, I was quite impressed from what I saw. However, reviews on this site and on other sites have been less than stellar, almost leading to me skipping this during my visit. Thankfully though I went with my gut and chose to experience this stunt show.

Located deep within the Lost Continent area of the park, Sinbad has various show times throughout the day so make sure you know when they are beforehand so you don’t have to skip it. Don’t worry at all about seating since the theater the attraction occupies is massive. In fact, I don’t even think it was half-filled when I viewed it! Well the set for the attraction is quite impressive, especially the attention to detail featured on the pirate ship and on the entire facade itself.

Well, the story is centered around Sinbad and his bumbling sidekick as they attempt to rescue the noble princess from the clutches of an evil witch. Certainly the plot-line isn’t original, but it definitely is sufficient enough, especially since the attraction is centered primarily around special effects. And trust me, there are plenty of special effects from impressive explosions to water bursts to fire effects. Just the sheer amount of pyrotechnics featured during the attraction is impressive and definitely the show’s strong point. My personal favorite scene is the finale where the witch is set ablaze and plummets to her ultimate demise, a really cool effect and I am just amazed at how Universal pulls that off safely time and time again. One minor complaint though, the show is pretty corny, especially in the kid-friendly humor and in the hand-to-hand combat.

Despite the rather mixed acclaim for the attraction, Sinbad is a really impressive stunt spectacular. This is easily one the best shows I’ve experienced at an amusement park thanks to the wide array of dazzling special effects featured throughout that really steal the show. However, the attraction isn’t completely flawless in my opinion, as it’s held back by its sheer corniness. Nonetheless, fans of stunt shows should definitely check Sinbad out if your schedule permits it while at Islands of Adventure.

Best show at IOA and arguably the best Ive seen anywhere. The building and theming looks great and the actors and actresses were great. What really won me over though were the top notch special effects and stunts.

The girl playing the princes was fit, hot and easy on the eyes. The stunts were well choreographed and the dialogue was laced with plenty of highbrow humor.

If I was sitting further from the stage and had not had a good view of the princess I would have rated it a 6 or 7.

Probably the 2nd best show ive ever been to. Its 2nd only to Fear Factor LIVE (Awsome). THere was great stunts and niffty special effects. If you are going to see a show at IOA, see this one! :thumbsup:

This show has got a major bum wrap. It has good stunts, lots of pyrotechnics, and plenty of cheesy humor (which is a good thing IMO). IOA is a great park, but there are limited attractions. So unless you are there during a bad time of year, you will have plenty of time to get everything in if you move well. So due to that, dont miss this show. There will be at least one thing that you have never seen before live that astounds you. I love the stupid pop culture references that are peppered throughout the script.

I have only seen this show once, and it was quite a while ago, but what I remember hasnt warranted a repeat visit from me. The special effects are quite good, and the storyline wasnt too bad, but the show just seemed to be lacking something. If youre into shows and want a place to sit down for awhile, its a fine choice, but Id rather keep going with the thrill rides than take time out to watch this show. Poseidons Fury comes recommended over this one.

I actaully thought this was just an ok stunt show. I didnt like the character that was the comic relief. I just didnt find him funny. I thought the actual stage looked cluttered. I just wasnt to fond of it. We did have an excellent Sinbad though and the fire and water effects are good. And I thougt the villian we had was also good. The guy getting set on fire at the end was funny.

I liked this show. I had really good seats, right in the middle. The person getting set on fire at end is great.

This show has some OK special effects, the acting isnt terrible, the plot is pretty lackluster. If you like theme park shows than you should check this out, otherwise Id suggest going on Spiderman again

This show is OK, it has a few nice special effects and is a big relief from the hot Florida sun. The one effect where the (witch?) gets caught on fire and falls about 15ft into a pool of water is rather exciting. Overall, not too, too amazing but definately something exciting to watch.
