I thought Shipwreck Falls wasnt too bad as far as water rides go, and it was an above average version of a shoot-the-chutes ride. Incidentally, the water was some of the cleanest Ive seen for a water ride before! There was no real line when I went on this, so its hard to comment on the ride crew. They seemed pretty quick/good though. As usual for these rides, the drop was good and pretty fast, and I got fairly wet. Although, I have to say that it seemed like the bridge over the ride took more of the brunt of the wave than the actual boat did, so that was a negative in my book. It was still fun, but overall Shipwreck Falls is right in line with the other water rides Darien Lake has to offer - fun, fairly decent, but nothing that sticks out or is spectacular in my view.

This was your standard Hopkins shoot the chute. As always the drop was fast and had some good zip to it, and the splash got me absolutely drenched, but there just was nothing special about this one.

Well maintained. Fun. Rerideable. Small capacity. Short duration. You will get wet on this ride.

I didnt think this ride was bad at all. Yes, it is a standard boat flume ride (up, around, down, splash, done), but for what it is it did a fine job. What little line there was was processed through quickly, the drop was enjoybable, the water was crystal clear and clean, and the splash was large. One last thing to mention--the water was COLD! It was a little shocking when it first hit, but felt good afterwards on a hot day. Id be a little leery about riding on a cool day though.

although the drop is alright, heres only one, and the ride is very boring. you get pretty wet though. its ok

Shipwreck Falls..well its not a very exciting ride, but you do get pretty wet, and there isnt much of a line, so its not bad.

It does suck! But on the bridge over the ride, you get plenty splashed and its 1000 x better than the actual ride. AND, you dont have to wait in line!

This ride stinks! The splash is very small compared to Cedar Points Snake River Falls!
