Review of Batman The Ride @ Six Flags Great Adventure

I had been looking forward to riding my first Batman in seven years for a long time. I had heard of their amazing old-school intensity, and always look forward to a ride with some substance. Overall, I was very impressed with the ride, but it just felt like it was missing something. There was intensity from start to finish, good pacing, no brakes, very smooth for its age. But it just lacked that illusive "it" factor to bump it up to a 9 or 10! The front seat was clearly the best seat, as the visuals really make this compact ride feel even more out-of-control. Is it just me, or does it seem even MORE intense from the front? I thought the first turnaround was the absolute best part of the ride, as it was one of the most intense elements I have ever encountered. Unfortunately, the next little turn was the only "lull" in the ride, as the train seemed to loose a bit of speed. The next corkscrew provided a good "head-whip" style of intensity, while the final inversion provided a smooth, head-to-toe intensity. Overall, this was a great coaster that I rode 5 times on my first Great Adventure visit, and I look forward to riding many times in the future.
