Its really a shame that a park this great has a set of bumper cars this awful. Dodgem is easily the worst flat ride at Cedar Point, and by a wide margin. These things are pretty pathetic, and I can summarize a typical ride experience on Dodgem.
Enter the line, and begin waiting....and waiting....and waiting. ("Good lord, I swear shes checked those seat belts 6 times!" Yawn. Move 6 feet, repeat waiting. All right, now we can finally get on this thing! Maybe theyll be better this time.....ok, can you check any slower? No, seriously, Im gonna cramp up in this thing waiting to start! *Ding* Ok, here we go, lets find some friends to hit....why the hell am I moving backwards? Wait a minute, which way do I have to turn this thing? Arrrrgh!! I turn left, and it goes right! *bump* Well, I almost felt that. Ok, lets go....*bump* Did a bug hit the side of my car? Wow, its great that Im moving slower than on the antique cars!! :snore: *bump* *bump* *bump* You know what this thing really needs? How about another 20 cars!?! Hey, theres my friends! All right, Im lining them up now! Here we go.....*Ding* Wow, got almost 90 seconds that time! Shake head and exit the ride, all the while laughing at how putrid your car was.
I still have some fun on these hunks of junk, but only because its my mission to overcome the crap cars and try to "hit" a friend while going about 0.6 mph! Plus, well usually greatly overexaggerate when we do collide, which is always worth a laugh. That is about the only thing that saves these from the depths of a 1. These really are the anti-bumper cars, as they are laughably slow and have the impact of a nerf ball thrown by an infant. Add that to the ridiculous wait and I have two words for you - keep walkin!!
