Review of Batman The Ride @ Six Flags Great Adventure
3 Rating Posted by: fergusonat on 8/3/2006 2:57:00 PM
I will begin this review by admitting this was my first Batman clone, however pitiful that fact may seem. Next, I will also admit that I had my doubts about Batman: The Ride. I had read several reviews praising these rides on their unmatched intensity among the Inverted genre. Well consider fergusonat among the ranks of those who agree with this bold statement. Batman the ride does not bid riders to enjoy a furious layout cutting through the tree-line like Alpengeist, nor does it beckon future riders to sit back, relax, and enjoy the visuals like Talon. Rather, Batman: The Ride grabs riders by the collar-bone and tears them through a rippingly cruel line-up of mind-numbing forces that refuse to let up from coming off the lift to slamming into the break run. It is no wonder why this genius layout has been duplicated so many times and was the reason for spawning the seemingly unending popularity of the B&M Invert. It is just that intense. Having said that, I still enjoy Alpengeist and its gliding, winding layout more than Batmans tightly packed dynamite-in-a-nut-shell type of design. Regardless, Batman: The Ride is a coaster that demands respect.
