Worst Water Ride Ive I Have Ever Been On.You Never Get Wet And Takes To long To Get To The Big Drop.

I completely agree the ride stunk like hot crap!!!

Hey IOA what water rides are better than this?

What rides are better than Splash Mountain? Which ones arent? IOA has Dudley Do Right and Popeye. Both better. Sea World has Journey to Atlantis. Yes the story makes no sense but Splash Mountains little rabbit story makes me want to puke. The only reason the "Zip Ah Dee Doo Dah" ending isnt the most annying thing in the park is because Small World is still there. JTAs ride is definitely better. Perilous Plunge at Knotts is better. Pretty much 99% of the log flumes at anypark USA are as good as far as the ride itself. How anyone over the age of 7 isnt annoyed to tears by the cutesy story on Splash Mountain is beyond me. My 3 year old cousin loved it. Doesnt take much to amuse a 3 year old mind.

but you must remember that this is disney, not ioa. splash mt is the best combination of both worlds, an log flume and a dark ride. it really isnt that bad.

Splash Mountain is a world class ride whether or not you think it is. I can at least see you compare this to Popeye and Dudley. I mean if you actually knew what I liked you would know Popeye is one of my FAVORITE rides. It is on my top ten rides for a reason. I actually like it better than SM. That wasnt the point of this post. The point was he didnt give any reason why he didnt like it. I mean this could not have been the worst flume he has ever been on. It is impossible. There are a lot worse out there. Dudley Do Right is the only log flume out there that can give SM a run for its money. Is it better than SM? That is all based on opinion. DD has an AMAZING FINAL DROP, while SM has untouchable themeing. Whether or not you think it has good or bad themeing is meaningless simply because most people love the ride because of its theming. Can I see it annoying some people, yes. Does it annoy most of us, no. JTA is a pathetic ride. I know I am on the minority here, but its theming sux and the ride doesnt make up for it.

Seph suffers from the following the pack mentality. If enough people like something then it HAS to be good...or so Seph thinks. Except of course when the arguement goes against him, such as with JTA. Then his opinion is right and were all wrong. Its like trying to reason with a mental patient; frustrating, ridiculous and hilarious all at the same time. And by the way he did give reasons as to why he didnt like it - it didnt get him wet and it took to long for the big drop. Seems like a couple of Valid reasons to me and Id agree. "Splash Mountain" and "untouchable themeing" in the same sentence is a crime in 49 of the 50 US states. More like "unbearable themeing" - its horrible! Simple animitronics having been amusing for roughly 20 years.

Those were NOT the reasons I didnt like the ride. I felt the wait for the drop was too short, not too long. I also felt the theming was 3rd rate and the roller coaster ending was a letdown. As for SM, there isnt a flume out there with better theming. I mean you were the one saying I am right, everyone else is wrong. Well in this case the majarity of people think it has amazing themeing as well. As for you disney- I never compared Popeye to a roller coaster. You want to say I did and play around with words again, fine. Otherwise, just be quiet cuz its not cool when you keep sayin stuff that isnt true...

And one more thing...your hurler is much lower rated than my Popeye. Popeye-101/Hurler-229 Does it matter? No. Each person has different tastes. This has already been said around a billion and one times though....

xDisney PS - To clear up any future questions, the Hurler is a wooden coaster at Paramount Carowinds. Why would someone deny something that is in print ? If anyone wants to see the actual post, go to Rants and Raves and look at the post called "Seph on Popeye" I do agree that the themeing on Splash Mountain is better than most rides of its type out there.

Ok....thank you disney. You are clearing things up. When did compare it to Hurler....never. All I said was it was higher rated on the site, meaning dont give lip about having it on my top ten. Thank you for spending the time to put it on the site. If you can find any place I compared it, please put it...

Actually no. ALL I said was Popeye was better rated than Hurler. Meaning people liked Popeye better than Hurler. This was in refference to your comment where you laugh at me about having Popeye in my top ten. I was coming back at saying it is a better rated attraction than one of your top ten rides, so you cant say anything. And if I were comparing the two rides I would first need to go to PC and ride Hurler, which I have never done in my life!!!

I wasnt comparing anything. I was simply sayin "lay off me". Your ride was rated worse than mine so dont act like it is so crazy to see it on my top ten. That is all I said. I dont know anything about Hurler.

Your the only one that has mentioned the top ten in this thread. Your the one that compared a coaster to Popeye. I have no idea what you are trying to accomplish.

This comment was taken directly from what xDisney said in "Seph on Popeye"- "Popeye wont be in my top 10 in this lifetime." That comment was an attack on my decision to put Popeye in the top ten. Later on in that discussion I show one of your rides, The Hurler, is rated 229 on the site. Popeye on the other hand is rated 101. I did not compare it to Popeye, I compared the numbers. I have never ridden Hurler and will probably never ride it. The ONLY point I was trying to make was dont make it sound like Im crazy for putting Popeye on my top ten when you have a ride on your top ten that is rated much worse than Popeye.

Point accomplished....If you dont understand or talk about something different than this, you have not understood what I have been saying.

Bingo. I compared the numbers, not the ride. Comparing numbers is not comparing the two rides. I did not compare Popeye to a roller coaster. They are not the same type of ride, so why would I compare the two? For the millionth time, I was saying your ride was worse rated than mine overall on the site. I am not lying, I am not trying to put words in other peoples mouths and I am not confused either...

sure, the picture makes the drop look small, but its bigger in person.
