Good job Eisner(sarcasm). You scared the crap out of little kids and bored the adults. Thats what Walt Disney had invisioned when he created The Magic Kingdom. This ride gave me the same feeling after I saw the Blair Witch Project. Youre waiting for something scary to happen, but it doesnt. Boooo, next ride.

If your into "non-boring" things, you should like this! I loved this, and if your ride was the same as the one I rode, I dont beilive the fact that you didnt like this ride...And as for the claim against Walt Disney: I want to see your idea of the perfect theme park, where every ride is awesome for both genres of people. You cant fill it full of roller coasters and thrill rides because kids will get scared and not ride them...You cant fill it full of merry-go-rounds because Adults will get bored and fall asleep. SO WHAT DO YOU DO? You have to put in both types of rides. I think Walt Disney made a very good attempt to make a park to suite the tastes of both ages alike. Michael Eisner is doing a great job as well, he has other good rides in the Magic Kingdom, and try going to MGM Studios, they incorporate thrill rides and "kiddie" rides as well. Go tell the millions of people that have visited Disney parks over the years that Disney dosent know what their doing.

LOLLLLL I love Disney. But lately Universal has outdone them in every way. I understand u like this ride. I think it sux. I didnt find it scary and THERE WAS NO LINE FOR IT FOR A REASON!!!! Little kids CRRRY because it is way too intense for them. About the Walt Disney comment. There is NO WAY WALT DISNEY WOULD EVER HAVE HAD THIS IN THE MAGIC KINGDOM. The Magic Kingdom is supposed to be a "fairy tale" if u havent noticed. Alien Encounter is more like a nightmare for little kids. As for adults, I know people who like this ride and I know peole who hate this ride. I very rarely find anyone to LOVE this ride, like urself. I have no problem with the fact that you loved it, but it is more than understandable for someone NOT TO LIKE THIS RIDE!!! Now if you take the ideal theme park, it would have to be Universals Islands Of Adventure. It has great rides for kids AND adults. However the Magic Kingdom is still better for the youngones. But for an overall park, IOA dominates all other parks to date. IOA is definitily aimed at a higher age group, but I think it does a great job at giving a little bit for everyone. Now...back to Disney. The reason Disney World is so successful is not because of rides like Alien Encounter. Disney rides appeal to ALL AGES. I disagree with anyone who thinks DW is aimed towards little kids, it isnt. What makes DW popular is all the things ADULTS CAN DO. That is why they are making millions, Alien Encounter is not helping them one bit and Eisner isnt helping by opening the lackluster Animal Kingdom. He has done many great things for Disney World, but I think he has taken the short stick in the last couple of years. I mean look at Star Wars or Muppetvision compared to Spiderman or T2.

Walt has been dead for a LONG time. WDW has the resources to do just about anything they want. This is a good relacement for the old Trip To The Moon and Mission to Mars. It does fit into the space theme of Tomorrowland. Progress is good, things will change. There is a certain market interested in this sort of attraction and WDW is trying to cash in on it. Beats the heck out of Small World.

this is progression but i think disney needs to be more competative with IOA

Walt has been dead for a long time, but HE was the reason WDW was successful. He is an absolute genius and knew how to make a themepark. Eisner did a great job with post WD, but in the last 5 years or so WDW rides have not lived up to expectations...

They do have a lot of new rides that are good, but they are not on par with Universals.

Cant argue with Seph on that one. IOA kicks Disneys butt.
