I was expecting alot from this coaster... First... its a Herb Schmeck design. Second, its reputation. For the most part, it delivered... it was a wild ride, lots of air and speed. But it seemed a bit brutal and rough. Of course, it could have been my iratable mood that day... it was hellishly hot that day and, echoing rentzy187s comments, the Great Escape is a park that is "far from good" (classic case of a GREAT coaster in a borderline crappy park)

Im glad you agree with me! The park was better before Premier bought it though. I think it should have turned out like Lake Compounce. They got a great wooden coaster and look at what it has done for that parks reputation! Free soda helped Lake Compounce a lot too though.

I personally thought that this was a good park. The Comet was, however, the only really good coaster in the park.
